Treekeeper
I am bursting this morning with I've just got a new job 5 miles down the road! I left a job after 17 years on a matter of principle and took another which involved travelling massive distances the job was easy enough but being away from wife and 2 kids 2 dogs and 4 chooks and lots of Koi was not easy. So to land this one so close to home is brilliant Sorry just can't stop smiling

Lapinou
Yay! How fab for you! I'd love for DH to work really close to home - he's not that far away, but he has to drive out of one town and into another, both in heavy traffic, meaning he gets home about an hour after he finishes and leaves an hour and a half before he has to be there in the morning

Keanie Bean
Well done, having a good job which you enjoy doing and do not have to commute too far too is really important. I used to spend 4 hours a day crossing London on public transport so I know how exhausting it can be. sarah.x

Cate in NZ
Fantastic news, I'm so happy for you Working so close to home really does make a major difference to your quality of life.... until Feb my hubby had worked for 27 years in London, travelling for 90 mins each way....3 hours a day simply wasted commuting . Now he works 10 mins down the road, starts at 7am, finishes at 3pm, and by 3:15 we're sitting down indoors with a cup of tea I really hope that you enjoy your new job....and that you enjoy all that precious extra family time even more
