Tessa the Duchess
Ooh congratulations to him, that is really good going after only 3 months The first day my friend's son passed his test, he went out on his own and wrapped the car around a lamp post Not to worry you or anything Tessa

Lailapet
Congratulations to your son! I passed the theory test first time, but the practical one took me 5 attempts as I was too nervous. In the end and after 6 months and a change of car, my instructor asked the examiner to be allowed to sit in the back of the car.The two of them were chatting qaway while I just drove around an did everything I had to. I had 32 driving lessons and no confidence at all after that. My dad didn't want to let me borrow the car - he didn't have confidence in me either. I see your son's feat at very admirable!!! BeckyBoo
Congratulations to him, the world is now his oyster! Trouble is instead of having to stay up half the night to cart him here there and everywhere you'll now be up all night worrying until he gets in safely!! Seagazer
Congratulations to your son Nicola. He'll be fine. You just have to try to trust him. My daughter drives all over the country. My son needs to pass his driving test next month as he has just started a job - yay!! Trouble is its in Billericay - nearly two hour journey there and then back again - train to london, tube, then train to Billericay. He's enjoying it so far but getting up at 4.50 am is doing us both in!!

Sunshine
He has done it very quickly! Im very jelous! I'm learning at the moment but not doing too well. However did pass my theory today so one step closer.I think it will be the end of summer before i take my test and i've been learning since January.I guess it just takes people different times-i have friends who have taken over a year and i hope it won't take me that long.Although im lucky that my parents are paying for my lessons because i didn't want to learn and wouldn't be now if they were not paying for me to have lessons. Phonix
Congrats to him! Sunshine - well done with the theory! I passed my theory first time, I found that bit easy but the driving well that was a different story! I HATED driving with a passion and my driving instructor was so sweet bless her! I took me three attempts to pass and after the second my driving instructor went on maternity leave that she'd already postponed just to keep taking me but after that second try she refused to take any more money from me cos the only reason I wasn't passing was my nerves on the day not my driving so lessons wouldn't help! I finally passed doing it in my dads car and 2 years later ive just drove in liverpool for the first time - im from Cumbria and the biggest place id driven before now was Carlisle - and im getting much more confident, i needed to borrow my mum and dads car for my summer job and was sooo nervous of driving again (my friend died in an accident in April - not her fault) but it brought back my driving nerves!! Anyway sorry to babble on but just wanted to say your son would be fine Nicola and not to worry and Sunshine, if I can pass as nervous and as much as a wreck as I was, im sure you will too!!! xXx
