Gosh! I am getting so exhausted now!

Recommended Posts

Anaemia (being dealt with), heavy belly, three young children - I'm falling asleep by mid-afternoon! House is messy as it's so uncomfortable to bend down I only do it for essentials. Washing gets done by DH, but it's too difficult to keep bending down and stretching up for me to hang it up in the morning so has to wait for him to do in the evening with the hope it's nice weather the next day! Getting up about 5 times a night to go to the loo and then spend far too long enjoying feeling baby kicking before I go back to sleep. Reading a really fab book so keep staying up too late reading it too (by too late, I mean 'later than 10pm! ) Tired, tired, tired...four more weeks to go...they're already going too fast though, so don't want to rush them, just looking forward to not being so uncomfortable and shattered!

I remember that feeling so well  I had 4 under 6 too, and even though the youngest turned out to be placenta previa diagnosed the friday before she was born it was much easier once she was 'out'

The mess can wait, someone gave me a good piece of advise, choose one thing that gets you stressed it might be toothpasty sinks or unmade beds and do that one thing, and leave everything else untill you feel up to it:D

Take care of yourself

Oh poor you. I remember it well.

It can be uncomfortable. When I had my fist it was a particularly hot summer and I did an hour long train ride and a 15 min walk to work there and back every day. I was totaly washed out. Is hard going when its hot.

Take it easy best you can, easy said than done with little ones to see to.

save it for when you have that surge of energy between birth and six weeks old :

 I never had this! I feel cheated. :D

 I think it's the sudden loss of weight that causes it and the adrenaline rush from night feeds. Wierd, but most definitely there with both the last two. Then disappeared as quick as it came - and never got it back again!:lol:

Thanks for all the lovely comments :)

I love night feeds - with bigger children around in the daytime, night feeds are the only peaceful, special time I get with the baby. I'm just looking forward to not being so physically tired and achey.

And in response to the weight thing - I think I get some thyroid thing when I'm pregnant as I always lose a lot of weight and end up lighter straight after the birth than I did before I got pg! My arms and legs look skinny and my face looks thinner too. It's great :) And then I get 'high' on the fact I can eat whatever I want without fear of indigestion, and as much as I want because I have more space and put all the weight back on again :lol:

i am soooooooooo jealous - not of being exhausted and having to pee all the time! - but of awaiting a new arrival. I have 3 boys 7,5 and 2 and I would love another one but husband and common sense say no. By this time I'm normally heavily pregnant with the next so it's starting to feel weird not having a baby to look forward to. I'm sure my hens are becoming my new babies!Look after yourself, and don't try and do too much. You've got enough to do just keeping track of the three at home. Good luck and make the most of this time!

My youngest is 31 and I am still carrying the extra weight since then - I do feel very jealous of your kind of metabolism! Now where did I put the chocolate I was not eating as I was trying to be good!!!!!

Can't say I miss being pregnant one little bit, although I loved it at the time!

This time last year I was throwing up every hour on the hour and the chronic heartburn had already started, despite the fact i was only a few weeks gone!
