I really ought to...

Recommended Posts

Well I have an ironing mountain that I am avoiding.

A grubby house which I am also avoiding.

3 children who are at present quietly doing their own thing therefore I don't want to disturb them.

New School uniform that needs taking out of it's packaging ironing and naming, a job that is sooo tedious. :(

I ought to be doing the washing up and other housey type stuff. Oh well, it'll wait!

Happy Friday to you all too. OH has just rung to say he's going for a pint after work, which means several pints so I'm off for a walk in a mo to get myself a treat for my dinner which I'll eat in peace in front of the telly whilst Bogwoppit is asleep upstairs :D Oh, I might even treat myself to an alcoholic drink 8) [i'm easily pleased!] :D:D:D:D

I am sat in the office, pretending to work, but yesterday and the day before I was off sick with a virus. Still came on the forum at home though. I had the strength to post messages and clean out and play with the chickens, but NO ENERGY WHATSOEVER to do the ironing, tidying, and cleaning.

Housework! Got washing to hang out, washing to bring in, a pile of ironing and a lounge that looks like it's been struck by a hurricane :? Need to put some ingredients into the breadmaker to do pizza bases for tea and two lemon drizzle cakes to make. :( I didn't think I had much to do until I just wrote it down  Ho hum, better to be on here 8)

Just having a flick through instead of washing ironing will clean the chooks out in a min  labeling school uniform, you're right chickencam it is tedious

We are going to Angelsey when OH gets home from work for a weekend, so I think I ought to get a wriggle on and finish off the jobs so the house doesn't look like a bomb site

Have a good weekend everyone :D

I've replaced the cube's side & cleaned it out, so it's all sparkly.

I should be cleaning the bathroom, but I've run out of cleaner  and I have a little bit of ironing to do, washing to peg out, beds to change

I have decided to drastically cut down on my ironing- a friend told me this week that a couple of girls we know who got married two years ago have never ironed since they left home- to look at them you'd never guess that they don't , so now I just shake t-shirts & such when they have come in from the line & hang them in the wardrobe. My ironing skills aren't the best, TBH, & mostly things looked less creased before I attempt to iron them.

I am in the middle of decorating ES's bedroom. Just heard a message that was left yesterday to say that the carpet that I had ordered is out of stock. I was going to come on here and have a real rant about customer service but I fear that I may bore you all! Oh well - better get back to work! (The kids and I will be playing tennis shortly and then I am off out to a cricket dinner tonight so it is not all bad!

I am feeling like a good girl so far I have, baked some bread, baked some sultana scones, made some yoghurt, prepared some beetroot from the garden, made lunch of a bacon and stilton sandwich, have you noticed something? They are all jobs that I wanted to do!

I still have wash the kitchen floor hoover and dust everwhere and wash up after this mornings activities!

I have been to the tip, stripped and remade the beds, done the weekend shopping, mowed the lawns, am in the middle of cleaning the cube at the mo :D will be making the tea soon and will start the preparations for making marmalade later....Oh.....and I have cleaned the bathrooms thoroughly. :D

I have a pile of ironing a mile high which I am not in the mood for somehow.

I manage to squeeze in a bit of time for the forum too.

Well i managed to get all my jobs done in the end, all except the tidying of the lounge (a pointless exercise before childrens bedtime anyway) and the first thing OH said when he walked in the door was "this house looks like a pigsty" Didn't even notice the home made pizza and cake and the drawers full of nice clean clothes.:roll::roll:

I should have been spending the day (or the last month) sorting out stuff at home, but after finding clothes to put in the charity bag I got bored and logged on here :eh: I'm moving back down to London on Monday so it looks like the last few days of my holiday will be spent tidying and sorting :wall: Suppose it's my own fault so I shouldn't complain!

This place is great though as a friendly distraction from all sorts of things that life throws at you :D

With the time difference over here I need to log on early in the morning or later in the evening if I want to catch up whilst the forum is still active. So these days (unfortunately  ) the forum doesn't interfere with my housework.......it's sleep I'm sacrificing  . Or sometimes when I log on in the mornings it's at the cost of getting ready for work.....so on those days it's the forum or breakfast :lol::lol::lol:

This forum is very bad for my house! I also should be doing all sorts of work in the house but as I return to work on Monday and have 2 sets of science coursework to mark I guess I know what I'll be doing tomorrow!!! :( I have started some of it and marked loads of other work but I hate the coursework!!!

The ironing pile is reduced now as my kids are both capable at 17 & 15 to do their own, as is my OH. Although I do still do some of theirs, however, if I get sick of it I go on strike! :D

I must get all the paperwork filing done too.

However, being on the forum or checking on my girlies have been too distracting lately!

Thanks!
