Just had the most bizarre celebrity sighting in my local Asda. Popped in to get a couple of bits for tea only to see Neil & Christine Hamilton wandering up and down the aisle with the Halloween bits and pieces :lol: He looks even more snivelley in real life

Me neither, my dawg snigged Russ Abbott the other day - we were wlaking the footpaths through Chobham Golf Course and she "diverted" onto the fairway he looked momentarily nervous (she is big) but patted her head and shouted a "good morning"

Our "celeb" moment was seeing Kevin Dwala( Spelling) from Blues Clues at Legoland a couple of years ago. The true sad thing was that Steve and myself looked at each other and did the Blues Clues hand sign Sad I know, but spontaneous

My unique celeb moment was at our local Borders, walked in and thought that a man stood all on his own looked familiar? it was only when I walked past it came to me.....it was Major Charles Ingram (the bloke who coughed his way to a million on millionaire) When I walked back past later he was till on his own and I saw why he was there........he was doing a book signing!!!! obviouslty no body else recognised him either as he had absolutely no takers..that what you get for cheating i suppose!

I saw some of a programme I think on BBC3 a few weeks back about the world's most annoying couples and rather than being nominated they were part of the team commenting on other annoying couples

 

They obviously love each other though and there is a lot to be said for that.

My embarrassing celeb moment was when we went to see The Music Man at Chichester. Bonnie Langford was in the audience and during the interval I was dying to tell my daughter. I ran back my our seats, gesturing madly to my daughter to come, she came running down, "quick" I said pointing, "look Bonnie Tyler" just as Bonnie Langford walked by. She just rolled her eyes and walked on. Whoooops!

Most embarrassing one was when I saw Kenny Lynch in Henley pet shop & mistook him for my mate Eddie.

He was absolutely charming about it & gave me a huge grin & a wink.

My celeb shopping moment was standing behind Cheryl Baker in Safeways in Blackfen years and years ago. My OH was in awe We just kept nudging each other, very embarassing.

The most random sighting of a 'celeb' I've encountered was ages ago when I saw Keith Flint (Dancer from the Prodigy with the mohicans) in Braintree B&Q. He had a shopping basket FULL of light bulbs. Only me and the till girl knew who he was, everyone else was just in awe (or disgust?) of his tattoos, make-up and baggy clothes. Livened up my sunday afternoon though. Is that sad?

When i was a child i would regularly see Floella Benjamin in our local Waitrose whilst out shopping with Mum. That felt like a real celebrity as i wasn't old enough to have forgotten Play School.

 

I worked in a gift shop as a teenager and once had to show Dave Lee Travis round, pointing out all the "Ooops, word censored!" stuff we used to sell. Mind you, he was really playing up the celebrity thing, it was only a small shop, he could have looked round it himself quicker. I also had a Saturday job in a chippie and would often serve Nick whatshisname from TV-AM, the one who presented with Anne Diamond.

When I was in Stratford a few years ago I was in the gift shop at the RSC looking for stuff for the kids. This big black guy walked towards me and, as I knew that I knew him from somewhere, I smiled and said, "Hi, how are you?" "Fine," he answered, "How are you doing?" at which point I realised that it was Lenny Henry and not some vague acquaintance. He was really friendly though and didn't seem fazed by a mad woman chatting to him!

For any of you who remember 'Brookside' I served Ron Dixon in a shop I worked in in chester when the soap was in its heyday and he was obnoxious.

Proper 'dont you know who I am'. Because he wasnt very nice, non of us said we knew who he was and I think that annoyed him greatly
