The Weather Thread

Recommended Posts

Hi Every One,

Here in Preesall near Blackpool, close to the mouth of the River Wyre & 400 yards away from the Cockling beaches of Morecambe Bay.

The weather has been over cast all day up to about 3 p.m today when it started to rain making a wet finish to the day.

How has the weather been in the rest of the UK?

Best regards,

Ian ( Ardene 5)

Hello there,

Here in sunny Belper at the foot of the chevin and amidst the heritage valley site of the Derwent Valley at the entrance to the glorious (muddy) Peak District it is no longer brass monkey weather but whilst holding on the the glorious memories of the wonderfully wet autumn past by a deranged but still blooming geranium and clasping to the hope of a bright green shoot of spring it is pitch black. We look forward in anticipation to a glimmer of light as a new day dawns in approximately 9 hours.

:lol::lol: Nutterbuck!

Here in Banbury twixt the Cross and Broughton Castle, it's fine and sunny at the moment, but a touch of frost over night. Light clouds around the edges though.

Stuff it, here's the link to the Banbury webcam so you can see for yourselves! Not very good view, but you can just see the cross and my office is out of shot on the right and up the road by 500 yards!

Here, near Stratford upon Avon - although it has felt more like in the Avon recently.....it has been a lovely sunny, frosty morning but it is clouding over now.

I hope we don't get any more rain....the ground just can't take it :(

Matthews big tractor is making ruts almost a foot deep while he finishes the fencing :(

it is blowing a gale here. The two potted christmas trees either side of our front door have blown over and the shed dooors are banging . My threee year old has appeared on the landing frightened of the whistling noise. I told her to get into bed and whistle back!
