How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

We are doing an indoor car boot / table sale tomorrow & I'm amazed at what tack we have collected over the years. Hubby calls them quality items.

I just shake my head & laugh. What did I ever see in some of this stuff?

Yep We went to Center parcs last weekend, and met up with Marks sister and family, she had been keeping 5 large oil paintings and a collection of old garden tools from when they emptied their fathers house 2 years ago

I don't know about you but when we go away the car is packed to the hilt with every inch of space used up, I thought we may need to leave one of the children behind

 

I was also cursing OH today as I tried to pack the garden swing seat away for winter, as the garage was a tip, as I think he stands in the door and just posts everything in

 

I'm afraid I have a place for everything, and I think the children will have "Put it back from where it came from" on my grave stone

Positively bursting at the seams here we are, no matter how much I try to de clutter, shred paper work and recycle old stuff we still seem to have a lot here.

 

We have never parked our car in the garage, I tidied it up today and I bet by next weekend it will resemble a bomb sight again!

We clutterbums too!!! We need to move house too, just to have more room for all our stuff. Trouble is, we like stuff!! There is no hope for us

I think it's a common problem. I have been struck recently by how many storage facilities are opening up - they have always existed but there seem to be an awful lot more of them nowadays!

.... and hats and gloves. But only single gloves. And the funny shaped hats that no one likes to wear. All the wearable stuff creeps away never to be seen again

 

When we moved we also moved all our junk with us. I still have boxes in the loft that haven't been opened since we moved. You know the ones - one is full of stuff from the old under stairs cupboard, one is from the old garage (don't have a garage here so it went into the loft) By the way, we moved in 1995.

We have lived here for 16 years & still have unpacked boxes in the loft

 

I have been quite ruthless in the house over the last few years,& when we completed the last lot of building & decorating work I got shot of everything that I didn't like & no longer wanted.

3 lots of 'collections' went (Beanie babies,Thimbles & Teazles) as well as some nasty bits we had been given as gifts over the years.

Everything went on eBay & I made over £400.

 

My family are now under strict instructions NEVER to buy me anything for my home,as I am really fussy about what I put in it.

Candles they are safe with (so long as they are Yankee) & pot pourri is OK too, but no pictures or *shudder* ornaments

When we moved house, was sorting through The Boxes In The Loft.

Incredible what a sensitive and romantic soul I am , found (amongst other things) a champagne cork, carefully wrapped in red tissue paper and preserved for posterity. Now, clearly it has some really big emotional significance, and commemorates something of great romantic/personal importance.

 

 

No idea what though. Have completely forgotten.

I used to be a terrible hoarder, and I'm not the tidiest of people.

 

Having to clear my parents' house was a real eye-opener, though. I don't have children, so one day someone will have to do this with my things. It's really made me focus on what's worth keeping, and what's not!

 

Can I recommend a brilliant book, called 'Getting Rid of Clutter', by Don Aslett. It has answers for all those reasons why we keep things ('but X gave it to me, and I really like them', or 'but I might need a spare one, one day'). Stuff holds you back in life - we spend money on it, and then we have to store it, clean it, sort it, insure it and move it around.

 

I am still quite a clutterbug, but not nearly as bad as I used to be!

I hate clutter (unlike Mr Webmuppet and Little Miss Webmuppet) and love nothing more than a really good clear out. Before we moved here I spent a week clearing out junk and went to the tip twice a day for a whole week...........it got so bad that the operatives at the tip would lend a hand unloading the rubbish...I think they felt sorry for me!

 

Still I think a fresh load of clutter is slowly seeping in. We HAVE to sort the garage out before mid December as Little Miss Webmuppet's Christmas pressie will have to be stored in there (well I can't fit a boat in the house ).....I found the garage floor last weekend!

My parents are the worst hoarders in the world . It is a long standing family joke that their loft will cave in and collapse the house one day. I am by nature a hoarder but because I have seen my destiny and what my house could look like in 30 years I fight every instinct. The only thing in my loft is the insulation

I have boxes in the loft, which I must get down as well, although the house in not really cluttered as I fight it with every bit of me I hate clutter, ornaments, pictures on all surfaces, that isn't me. there's a places for pictures, one for the kids medals, no ornaments, just a few wooden animals about the place

Doesn't mean the place is always tidy, I try but believe me the boys win sometimes

Take heart Chooklady, when I was 11 my mum gave me 2 weeks to tidy my room or she said she would never enter it again! You couldn't see the carpet and things were growing in mugs . I didn't do it and she kept to her word. When I was 17 though I woke up and decided I wanted a tidy room and it changed overnight. They can't believe that now I have moved out I actually have a clean and tidy house, especially as if you read my previous post in this thread they have a house full of junk and I have no clutter . There is hope, although unfortunately it may happen once they are out of your care.

Everytime I get more storage, I fill it. The shed is completely impassable now, I know the christmas decorations are in there, but I can't reach them And lord only knows where the christmas tree is. We didn't have it up last year, as we had kittens, and now I can't find it. I have a habit of bagging things up (like craft supplies, or clothes) to get them out of the way temporarily, and then forgetting about them for years. Very embarassing when I find them, having been crumping about whatever it was being lost or chucked away. I had a bit (and I mean a very little bit) of a clear out last night, and was ashamed of myself for being such a hoarder. Worst thing is, when our lodger moves out next year, we're already planning what we can put in his bedroom. My OH keeps saying things like 'we can put another couple of cupboards in the baby's room'. We haven't even got a baby yet and it's already being shoved out ot make room for our rubbish.

Oooh, if he's that old leave him to it! My two girls are 16 and nearly 18. I refuse to tidy their room. I also stopped doing their ironing years ago as I was fed up of finding it just thrown on the floor and I also refuse to do their washing every now and again as I was getting clean washing back to wash again.

 

As long as I can shut their bedroom door to keep the mess hidden I'll put up with it.
