Cinnamon
Good news! Hubbys Dad came home from hospital today following a massive heart attck 3 weeks ago He was in ICU for 10 days, asleep for nearly a week, & if I am honest I didn't think he would see home again. This is his 4th heart attack& he is also unwell in other ways,so we feared the worse, but it seems he is made of tough stuff So, if I have been a grumpy old moo for the last few weeks thats why.Its been a hugely worrying time for us all.........didn't feel like sharing before, but now that he is on the road to recovery I am happier to

little chickadee
1) We managed to surprise My Mother in Law and really make her 60th birthday by travelling up to Scotland on the train with the kids on Friday so we were there when she got home from work. She was a bit suspicious earlier on in the week, but was fooled by us sending up the present in the post! We all hid in the back room, then when Father in law said he was gonig to get her a drink, the kids walked in with it instead. It's a good job they brought in water instead of red wine as she would have spilt it all over the floor! She burst into tears We're all shattered but it was worth it. 2) My 99 yr old Grandad (who means the world to me as my dad died when I was little) came out of hospital on Friday - 1 week after an operation. ..... He went out for lunch with my mum on Saturday (The man is a constant source of amazement!) Hurrah

Old Speckled Hen
Dear Mum, I'm just writing to let you know that I have been thrown out of my student digs. Because I have been sent down for a year I had to get a job and I must admit it's quite novel dancing round this pole. Jason is the love of my life; I met him at work and you must meet him. We have settled in the new flat which is very handy as it's near to the police station he has to report to every week. I didn't want you to worry earlier but I can tell you that my rat bite wounds from the squat have now healed and I can go back to lectures after my maternity leave. PTO None of this is true Sorry , Mum failed exams but the good news is I can do a resit. It could have been worse. Love xxxxx
chickencam
I like the way that she broke it to you gently The sun is shining and it is quite warm I am not thinking about the cold weekend coming . Although it wil be a good excuse to sit by the woodburner and catch up with some reading or maybe even finish my jumper Well done Emma on Izzy sleeping through none of mine did that until they were about 11 weeks old
Looney
I'm just tucking into a delicious sandwich and then I'll take Bogwoppit for a walk in the sunshine and then we're going to the library to sing nursery rhymes followed by a coffee with some other mums The bad news for the other mums is that my delicious sandwich contains salami and cheese so they will have to deal with my garlic breath as well as my bad singing

Chook n Boo Mum
My extension is nearly finished, all it needs is a carpet and the socket facings (is that right? ) fixing on, and the "joint" into the rest of the house needs tidying up, where the new boiler pipework was boxed in - nothing a good sanding & a coat of paint won't cure....and that's tomorrow's job for the lovely team of painters who have done the rest!! little chickadee
My daughter performed on stage in the middle of town as part of her school choir & sign language choir. Even though I couldn't actually see her because a boy a few inches taller stood right in front of her (well I could see part of her mass of curly hair sticking out the side!) I was still enormously proud!
