It also included with a 2 page boasting letter, "Had a great year...went on holiday to -America, Egypt, India etc got promoted now earn £100,000 a year blah, blah, blah". Don't you hate those, cant wait to do mine........." Went on holiday to Cumbria and Dorset, it rained! Had to cut my salary by 20%, I'm self employed. Got 6 chickens, beat that! Are they mystery friends who send a card and you have NOOOO idea who they are? I got one of those once...

little cluckers
It was from a friend that has just emigrated to Tasmania and it was sent with a change of address as she has just bought a house so I guess she was saving stamps and getting in early before anyone sent cards to their old address But I can't believe that it wasn't the first proper one this year (Royal Mail doesn't count ) - I was certain I'd win this one!! So alih it looks like you're the winner so far! or can anyone else beat the 15th?
Shirl
I can't beat it but I was tempted to send some of mine when I got my BHWT cards. They're so lovely they need to be up for more than a few weeks
Cooks
I haven't had one yet, although I will soon as my aunt and uncle always send theirs very early every year. I have only sent the BHWT ones to people that would really value them the others have got Breast Cancer Research ones this year with a robin red breast on them as my husbands late Grannie used to love robins and I was in boots and well just had to by them. I've written them all out, well almost but I never send until after the first week in December as that's when my birthday falls so birthday out of the way and 'then' Christmas. Old Speckled Hen
Got one this morning with one of those awful round robin year-in-the-life histories BUT ..... the worst thing was that there was a bit about me in it not inviting them to meet the new man in my life at our wedding Cheek Perhaps they forgot to take me off their mailing list. I'm tempted to send them a Chrissy card returning their year's snapshot with the offensive item underlined, saying how much I appreciated their sense of humour. What do you lot think? missuscluck
Giggling here about Douggie and Janice. I remember this from last year. I think I must have been hanging around you lot for a year now
Minnie the Moocher
DA, how awful! Do you think they sent it deliberately? I'd try to make a joke of it. And remind them of it each and every time I saw them.

And remind them of it each and every time I saw them. Haven't seen them for three or four years, never really cared for them much so not offended at all. Just illustrates how lazy and thoughtless it is to send round robins ...... boasting of success usually. "Ooops, word censored!"ody send them if they've had a rubbish year do they? I get one or two round robins and they are always full of foreign holidays and genius children. Mine would say, spent most of year cleaning up poop of one kind or another (chickens, puppy, potty training) and son likes scribbling in other people's books and chewing cardboard. Now that's a round robin you don't see too often
Valkyrie
We usually get our first at the end of October/beginning of November from a friend in NZ - but he's late this year. Probably because he was doing a Europe tour a short while back. He always sends the card by ship, but he's getting on a bit, hope he's OK.
