Cinnamon
There has been chat on another thread of Babycham, Pony & Cherry B, & how we all associate them with this time of year We always, without fail, get a 4 pack of Babycham & Snowballs in at this time of year, plus red cocktail cherries & even paper parasols! If you can't do kitsch at Christmas, when can you?
Tessa the Duchess
My late mum was not a drinker except at christmas when she had a couple of snowballs, makes me a bit sad to see them now I used to love Cherry B when I was 'much' younger, but I honestly don't think I could drink one now..shudder... fowlbird
Now, Barbara - a cube is no substitute for Advocaat... We keep it in all year round but I only drink it at xmas... In fact... snowball snowball snowball snowball snowball snowball snowball snowball snowball snowball snowball edited: 26.12.08 the most awful thing happened - the Advocaat had curdled - it smelled ok but looked odd so didn't risk it Edited December 26, 2008 by Guest

Egluntyne
Cheese footballs and a big tin of quality street epitomise my retro Christmas....and pickled walnuts. We always had a jar just at Christmas and every year I would taste one to see if they were as horrible as I remembered. They were.
craftyhunnypie
Hubby has already asked if Santa will bring him chocolate buttons for breakfast in bed! Bucks fizz in the morning - oh yes snowballs, I remember those - I wasn't keen. Baileys on ice for me or Tia Maria & coke. mmmmm But I'm driving later tomorrow so apart from a bucks fizz, that will be it - it will be Schloer for me...but boxing day well & New Year, I will be legless. jlo
On a non alcoholic note ...I always bought my dad a round box of jellied lemon and orange slices that were drenched with sugar. Tooth rotting stuff! Also, a box of dates with a little plastic fork thing. The dates were usually kept until the end of January and then thrown out! You can only eat so many rubbery dates!
