What has been your most "interesting" Christmas present?

Recommended Posts

I had a great day with my two boys. Had lots of hugs and a picnic lunch in front of the TV with yummy foods from M&S, (smoked salmon that melted in the mouth , delicious!)

My mum posted some home-made Christmas sweets from Spain but they haven't arrived yet... Let's hope they make safely even if they're a tad late...

OH is working in Kuala Lumpur and arrives tomorrow (we've got to get up at 5am to collect him from the airport - how I'm going to drag those boys out of bed at that unholy time I still haven't figured out...) Still I think he's planning a trip to John Lewis to get me some yarn I need to finish a jumper I'm knitting with my birthday yarn... (I'm rather large and like baggy jumpers, so the 400gms they bought for a sweet size 8 were not enough for a generous size 16! :wall: ) So, I guess that's going to be my Xmas pressie this year.

OK, it's a bit disjointed this winter but there you go... at least it's not a calendar with the Pope...! (nothing personal but him and Mr Bush are probably two of my least favourite public figures at the moment) ... but I've had some presents in the past... :eh::silenced:

A 'grow your own man' kit. The sort you place in water and it grows. Complete with credit card and diamond ring. :?

My friend got this in her secret santa stocking last year it was a great laugh it does grow too!! and as she was over 40 and single she took it in great fun - this year she has her own man and her stocking from secret santa was a t shirt with a dear god thank you for sending me my new boyfriend on it with a poem which was hilarious. our most "interesting" toy was an enormous (and I mean enormous) plastic contraption which requires 6AAA batteries, but the sender forgot to tell us we needed them. Luckily my son didn't go ballistic when we couldn't make it work!

A few years ago I got an enormous pair of pants and some rancid cheap perfume from my OH's Grandmother (who strongly dislikes me because I dared to be ill and my Husband shouldn't have married me but found someone more healthy !)

I got a clapper  ........Now when I'm in the living room, I can turn the light on in my bedroom with just a clap of my hands. It also came with a remote control whiche enables me to turn the light on in the house when I pull into the drive.

Is it one of these - as ES wants one and I thought it was just a gimmick!? :D
