Secret Easter Bunny

Recommended Posts

I feel a bit inadequate too. So far I can only make one thing, & it's not a big thing at that.

BUT it was home-made, & made with love & care, & that's all that matters. It's in the rules!!!!!

I would hate the SS or SEB to turn into a Competitive SS or SEB and I'm sure it won't  Its just that Omleteers talents lie in different places, & utilising those talents, however small, is what the whole swap is about :D

It is so nice to know that someone cares enough to have made you a gift & I absolutely love making something to give to someone. It shows true friendship.

There was a lot of time put into the gift from my secret bunny & I truly love my gift.

I am going to make something totally different for the Summer swap!

ive had another pressie :D:D:D:D:D

Ive recieved a RED egg skelter with a "thank you for your organising" card :D:D:D:D

thank you sooooooooooo much - I feel all warm and fuzzy inside :D:D:D:D:D

I didnt do the SS or SEB for praise or thanks, I did it cos I think this is a really friendly forum and i thought it would be a giggle :D:D:D

now, it seems to have grown huge :D:D

so, we are going to have 2 more swaps a year :D:D:D

wow :D:D

please make the swaps fun and small, dont make them "competition time" its the thought than counts and the excitement of a package from someone you have probably never met that makes it great :D:D

thank you again for my extra pressie :D:D

I agree Couperwife - small, fun, simple & friendly! If it ever got competitive, I wouldn't do it. That's why I don't have any 'real life' friends - they are too into the rat race. Not nice.

I like my life free of competing & easy going.

Anyway, I am seriously into knitting & crochet at the moment - so I presume my next gift will be something along those lines. For my Easter swap, I was planning on making a very small bird box - all cute & painted - but I just did not get round to it.

Everyone is crafty in different ways & it's so lovely to see & gain inspiration from all the makes!

Having a go is what it's all about!

Please would the bunny who made Alison (AMS) chicken egg holder share the pattern. I'd love to have a go.

I am amazed at the variety of things made :clap: . I had trouble trying to think of one :lol:

I'm sure everyone made and gave them in the spirit of the project and we don't need to change anything, we all had fun.

Perhaps Ubereglu better do her checklist again to make sure everything was received. :D

So sorry for the late thank you for my bunny gift. I've just got back from Suffolk. It was wonderful but I ended up staying there for much longer by mistake so I've been offline for nearly a fortnight.

My OH was asked for ID at the post office with my Omlet name on it. When he finally managed to get the gift from them and run away from their giggling, and when I got back, I found a really sweet box with bunnies and flowers on it containing a homemade simnel cake with mini eggs.

Can't wait to try it. Am thrilled at getting something so eastery and lovely. Thank you bunny! :D

Pics later when I've gone through my several thousand missed emails. :(

Edit: photos!

Please tell us how you managed to stay longer BY MISTAKE

I have visions of you after 14 days looking at your watch and saying "Look at the date - must be off - only meant to pop in for 5 minutes, and now a fortnight's gone by."

Went for the weekend with the other half and loved it so much that I really didn't want to go home so he suggested that he went home and I stay on for twice as long again. He juggled all of my commitments so I could. I really needed it. Feel wholesome for the first time in well over a year. So I ended up having an extra week's holiday sort of by mistake. I recommend that sort of holiday heartily!

Southwold. Walberswick. Just heaven. The first day I went to the beach - woke up at dawn - in my pyjamas, and just kept walking to town. The beach is amazing, the sky is amazing, the old people who are early risers are warm and welcoming, and by the end of the week I felt like a local, with everyone in town saying 'morning! How are you today?' And local people digging stuff out for me in shops about folk music and crafts because we'd been chatting about them the day before, and dancing to the accordian in other people's caravans who sort of adopted me for the week. Just wonderful. Reeds and marsh and heath and sea and sky and rowing boats and tents and the wonderful underthepier.com exhibition and car boot sales and buzzards and swimming in the sea (very cold!) and cool dew in the morning and stars at night and... everthing. :D

:mrgreen: I'm surprised you came home! (Were you tempted to do a Shirley Valentine and run off with a burley fisherman?)

I feel so terrible as I've forgotton to post a thank you to my Secret Easter bunny.

I received the most beautiful hand made Japenese kimono silk bag. It's a lovely mix of purple colours and I've had a job to get it back off DD2. She unwrapped it with me and packed her wooden Easter eggs into it and spirited it away!!! Pest!! I've got it back now. It has been made so well, with teeny tiny stitches. Amazing, it puts my gift to shame really.

Thank you soooo much!

Snowy - burly fisherman?! What, when I've got my mo"Ooops, word censored!"rowed geek to come home to?! :D Never! (Although I did meet some very nice fishermen).

Janty - I don't remember people's towns on here very well. If I'd put two and two together I certainly would have! I'm coming back next month hopefully so maybe we could meet then? PM me and we can swap details?

Plum - yep, in PJs! I was mesmerised by the sunrise and the colours in the sky and the smell of the sea and just kept strolling. I did apologise to the folks I met and they said they hadn't even noticed and assumed they were relaxed trousers - pastel blue check. They thought it was brilliant and didn't blame me at all for just getting up and at 'em. They get to stroll up that beach every morning. How brilliant would that be! Such lovely people! :D
