clootie
I've heard the Zimmer Museum of Hip Replacements is very interesting. *sprays tea all over screen* The Gutta Percha Museum of Dentures is always worth a visit. Isn't that John Gummer's favourite place?
Olly
oh stop it you lot! I'm too old for the 'Ladies Circle' too. But then again I don't have children so perhaps I wouldn't fit in. I wouldn't mind some kids though. Always fancied keeping goats ...

Seagazer
Oh heck! I was reading this thinking oh thats ok I could do a year until I'm too old until I realised that I'm actually 45 soon. Where did that year go? I think 18-120 sounds about right to me
HENthusiastic
Im the right age Wrong life stage though....... no kids (goats or children!) I have to say it sounds alright though. Theres little enough opportunity for adults to get together and meet new people. Especially in a setting that isn't always drink orientated. It can be really hard to meet new people as an adult. BarbaraJ
ooops just turned 45 !! the age thing has changed alot, i had my kids early as my mum was an older mum so my kids are 18-22 but i have friends my age with 6yr olds and younger. as i have worked with kids for 20yrs i feel the same as when mine were little, so i'm all ranges lol

I guess I was thinking about those poor unfortunate souls who don't have chooks! Tis been a fab place to meet people for me. Loving the fact that when I've met omletteers in person they've been fairly normal Well as normal as me anyway

braden01
oh stop it you lot! I'm too old for the 'Ladies Circle' too. But then again I don't have children so perhaps I wouldn't fit in. Having kids is not required! Circle is a fab way of getting some time to do things for ourselves that we want to do away from other commitments, whatever they may be. Seen loads of debating posts here about the age rule but that is the rule: after all, I had to leave Brownies and I got over it! The good thing about having different clubs for different ages is that is keeps the membership fresh, otherwise these things can get a bit cliquey (?sp) and it can be difficult for anyone new wanting to join. "Ooops, word censored!"ody is suggesting anyone is past it after 45: you should see what the Tangent lot get up to! They are often wilder than us as often they no longer to get back home for baby-sitters etc so can party on. Anyway, all I wanted to do was flag it up to anyone who IS interested that it's a great organisation and there will probably be a local club near you, wherever you live in GB&Ireland. Janey Lee Grace (Radio 2) is our patron btw - she's pretty good at plugging us now and again tool.
