Ain't Nobody Here
Help! I need some new disposable dental floss thingies and can't for the life of me remember where I bought the ones that I find OK to use. I have packets of other ones which are just rubbish. Omleteers know everything so does anyone know where I can get the type shaped like the bottom left one (or give me a brand name)? I have the dentist next week so flossing is becoming a priority (I'm not very good at doing it ).
Redwing
Its slightly different but has the same shaped head but the battery operated Hummingbird from Oral B is excellent, it usually costs about £7 ish You can buy the heads separately and use those on their own if you get really desperate but I am sure someone will come along soon with the basic disposable version brand name
feemcg
Sorry can't help but my dentist told me not to 'floss' but to use the wee brush things.....like sticking a mini toilet brush between your teeth .....she says they're much better. craftyhunnypie
I bought some of those from Boots, but find them awkward on those hard to get at back teeth. I use tape instead of floss, then toothpaste, followed by listerine mouthwash. It's a right to do - but what the dentist said was best. Lesley
I use tape as well but those things at the bottom of the photo look like some Carl has....but there's no name on the bag Try this....... Toothpaste followed by a swish of Dentyl - all looks well, no little bits disclosed.....then use tape or floss and Dentyl again -
Mrs Webmuppet
I've got a Hummingbird but I couldn't get on with it so if you want to give it a go let me know & I'll pop it in the post. I use tape for the smallest gaps and Teepee for the bigger gaps ( the loo brush looking things)
The Dogmother
I use tape as it's much easier than floss. I have seen those in Te$co though.
Christian
Have seen them somewhere ANH, but can't think where My dentist recommends tape too. He says that floss is too fine and can cut your gums. He also says to 'floss' twice a day *goes off to floss*

Ain't Nobody Here
What are the "wee loo brush things"? How do they get between your teeth? I did go through a phase of using Dentyl pH and liked it, but it's quite pricey . I prefer the tape to the floss but my teeth don't have much room between them soI have to push to get it in then slam, it cuts right into my gums . MrsWM - I've pm'd you . Christian
They are tiny brushes for getting between teeth ANH. Like micro bottle brushes. Boots sell them
Ain't Nobody Here
Thanks, Christian . Bottle brush sounds so much nicer than bog brush .
Cinnamon
The little brushes are great - Cleo uses them to get under her brace wires. I have a Hummingbird flosser & really like it I did see the word Floss in the title & wondered if it would be another thread about Clarets underwear of choice? Well, I have to keep you all amused somehow... it just wouldn't be the same if I wore big knickers like Kate, now would it?
chickencam
My teeth are very close together and I have the same trouble with floss. I have found the brusshes very dificult too but you can poke them in on gum level so easier than floss. They also come in different sizes too. I am trying to work out if you have only just run out of the floss and have been cleaning like a good girl since your last dentist's appointment or if, like me, you suddenly realise that it will be really embarrassing to go to the dentist's with a load of gunk between your teeth so are trying some serious last minute dental hygiene! Ain't Nobody Here
What do you think ? (I've actually got a minor niggling toothache too which always spurs me on to think "I must floss again" .)
