Only just caught up with this, Poet . I'm so sorry to hear Mariana is poorly (and Fatima too ). Fingers crossed they both recover - you'll be giving them the best care possible, I know that.

oh poet been so caught up in my own.

Meany had the convenia.

It last 2 weeks in cats & dogs but most likely half that time in chooks. due to their fast metabolism. Meany showed no improvement after the week and I made one of "those" appointments for the next day. gave her dog food for her last breacfasrt and off she trundled to play in the gardenand was right as rain for a good little while.. It was one of her last rallies. which lasted (sorry bit vague about a week or 10 days) Sadly for Meany it did not work, but this does not mean it won't for your girl,

I tell you the story so that you know that it might look like there's no improvement for a wee while.

She does sound a bit perkier so maybe the Convenia will help her.

 

Fingers crossed and everything else crossed too.

 

But if it doesn't work then at least you know you have done everything for her.

she wasn't any better this morning, her crop hadn't gone down at all and I just knew it was time.

 

I didn't want her to suffer any longer so I took her to the vets and they let me stay with her while she went to sleep.

 

We'll bury her near Shalott.

 

I'm so sad but I know it was the kindest thing and she had a lovely life with us and gave us lots of joy.
