tara
Our ex battery chicken rosie has been ill with sour crop.We have been shopping this afdernoon have just come home to find she has died. We got her just before christmas.I have cuddled her in my arms today l noticed how she was breathing deeply and seemed very tied so l suppose she has sliped away quietly.I wish l could have done more but the vet did not give her much hope as she had lost loads of weight and was very poorly. At least l tryed my hardest to save her.Just seems such a waste now she is free and this happens She died in our living room we brought her in a few days ago. tara
Thankyou all for your kind words.Rosie was a gentle chicken. She loved the garden and getting in the holes when we was digging in the garden. She came out fairly bald down her neck. She was very shy when l got her she lived with her other ex battery girl henrietta.Who will miss her alot l have had to intergrate her with my other chooks now rosie and henrietta did live with the ducks very happily.I will miss her very much and l really hope she has found freedom in chicken heaven
