LisaP Posted April 26, 2009 Share Posted April 26, 2009 Yesterday we lost 2 of our beautiful girls, Pansy and Lupin, in a horrible accident in our garden. We have what I can only describe as a large sheet of wood which is very heavy and is usually flat on the ground to give some hard standing under the washing line. Anyway for some reason yesterday this was stood up against the garden fence. The girls were dustbathing and the wood fell - it was windy here and we can only think it blew over, we didn't see what happened. ES went out to give the girls some treats and that is when we realised 2 were missing, we searched everywhere and that is when I lifted the wood - I never expected to find them there, the shock was awful. OH took them straight to the vet and he confirmed that they died instantly, although at the moment it doesn't really help to know that, as they're gone.
