Sam Palmer
People who ignore the indicator on my car when I am pulling up outside my house and give me abuse when they then have to drive around my car (Tonight Iindicated to pull up outside the house. A woman in the car behind me carried on driving up my backside and then started tutting when she had to back up and drive around my car. It was in a traffic queue but she was driving far too close. ) Mercedes drivers ...apparently indicators are an optional extra and most owners do not feel the need for them. Trousers being worn half way down peoples backsides I have the same problem as there's a junction to a main road near my house. I try indicating well in advance, but have ended up being harrassed. Once I had a bus right up my backside, when I needed to reverse into the drive. He was really offensive. I wished afterwards I'd had the forethought to take his reg and complain and just get out of the car, leave it there and go in to the house and cause a huge traffic jam! Mercs are a pain. My 15 yr old son has just joined the ' show your pants' brigade. We call him 'pantsman' after the cereal character on the Apprentice. Hate bindweed People who say 'anythink' and 'nothink', when they would never spell them like that! We all love Earl. Am thinking of calling one of our chickens Mrs Chicken, in honour of Mr Turtle, when they arrive next week.
Valkyrie
Another one - son goes for job interview - very promising, shown around the premises. Promised to ring him after the bank holiday - then they tell him they'll call this afternoon. He's still waiting. I've told him to look elsewhere. Janty
This thread is great therapy when you're in a bad mood. I was fuming before when that vile woman tutted at me for having the audacity to park outside my house. I ranted on here and suddenly it was all peace, love and happiness. Very therapeutic. jlo
I lose count of the number of times that I come home and have a rant to my mother or OH about something else that has defined my status as a grumpy old woman. Then I look at this thread and realise that I don't have a single original thought! Just a couple of points:- ANH mentioned people overtaking on the inside and Koojie mentioned middle lane hoggers. Sorry Vicki but, if there is a middle lane hogger, I do occasionally undertake! I can't stand hearing songs where i' is no' cool to pronounce "T"s.and yes this gripe could easily apply to the earlier Lily Allen thread! I hate seeing people smoking when there are children around. Actually, I am a complete anti-smoker generally but really detest seeing little ones, especially toddlers being affected. Rudeness in general upsets me. My OH is a referee and the abuse that he can be subjected to makes my blood boil. Car drivers who go through red traffic lights, especially on the big roundabout on the way to work when it can really snarl up the whole traffic flow. I think that that will do for now. I need to get to sleep and boiling blood is not conducive to that! I should try Janty's view that it is therapeutic and that might help! Janty
I hate seeing people smoking when there are children around. Actually, I am a complete anti-smoker generally but really detest seeing little ones, especially toddlers being affected. Couldn't agree more. Pregnant women smoking is the other one. I always say that the best birthday present that I've ever received was on 1st July 2007...the smoking ban. My Mum smoked heavily and I was always determined that I would never go out with a smoker. I went out with a lad for two days when I was about 17. When I found out that he smoked then it was over. Ahhhhhhh! Peace, love and happiness. Valkyrie
Chewing gum with mouths open - do I really want to see Alex Ferguson masticating like that? Ugh! Oh ban him too (sorry MU fans). And someone - can't remember who - spat out their gum on the pitch just because he was out. Bad boy.
