KimmyCustard
People that wear hats whilst driving (what is that all about?!) Wonky shopping trollies OH favourite - maintains that women walk 'at him' rather than attempting to go round him as he does them when walking down the street. Trying to open cartons of milk/soup/juice and never managing it without muttering under one's breath and wrestling quietly with a ripped opening! cloud
Okay, here goes... The little white circles in the middle of crossroads that one is expect to drive round Double vexatious are the pairs of white circles on the slightly larger crossroad that one is expected to do figure of eight round, or something. People who use word like vexatious, or contiguous just for effect (rather than simply for fun) The word your used in place of you're. Such as Mum, your the best - saw that on a card once The design of almost all supermarket car parks that direct all exiting traffic across the path of pedestrians leaving the shop Pensioners shopping on Saturday, and then complaining how busy it is. Big-Endians. Eggs should always be opened by tapping gently but firmly at the little end. Ear hair. Just say no. Cards left by postmen that state we must wait three hours before going to the post office to collect, but then never remembering to say when the card was left. That deep booming voice used on all movie trailers (usually with an American accent) The apparently seamless cellophane wraps on CDs and DVDs
Snowy
at you lot! (but i'm going to add one of my own now) People who swear in front of their children, and then, when their children swear, say "I don't know where he/she gets it from"
missuscluck
Goodness If I ever meet anymore of you lot I better watch out and make a list of thing of what not to say/do I cant think of anything to add. Chucky Mama
Ok, here's another one: Pump toothpaste tubes that just don't pump. You have to shove the toothpaste up the darned thing in order to get it working just about everytime you use it oh, and people that take for ever to buckle up and get going when you have been sitting for an eternity waiting for their space at the petrol pump or in a car park
..lay a little egg for me
Gosh, I've ploughed through all 7 pages and am ashamed to admit: I agree with all of them I still have one to add (amazed no-one has said this yet): People who misuse the apostrophe (as in tomato's, potato's etc)!!! I actually stopped to rub out the apostrophe on our local farm shop's board advertising an up-coming open day where one could apparently learn all about "BEE'S" (the bee's what? Knees perhaps?)! Mind you, I haven't got as far as going around with a marker pen to add apostrophes where they are missing as Lynn Truss claimed she did in "Eats, Shoots and Leaves"!!! Snowy
I've just come across a couple more violations on the school run - parents who park on the grass verges outside my house when picking up children from school - and churning them to mud as soon as it rains - mud that I can't avoid if I need to cross the road outside my house! And groups of yummy mummies who think it is OK to stand in a big group in the middle of the pavement, complete with several pedigree pooches, so that littlest boy and I have to walk out into the road to get past them!!! I'm not even going to mention those parents who park so tightly up to the entrance to our drive that I'd need to have a bendy car to get around them *And breathes out ..... * Ah that's better! Mind you, I haven't got as far as going around with a marker pen to add apostrophes where they are missing as Lynn Truss claimed she did in "Eats, Shoots and Leaves"!!! I thought about adding this one but there was a HUGE thread on grammar issues last year and I seem to remember that it got quite heated and I wasn't sure that that was a good idea to resurrect that again! The problem is that I then became quite paranoid about the posts that I made in case I added a redundant apostrophe or made any howlers! One does not like to get on the wrong side of the Omleteers! chelsea
Pensioners shopping on Saturday, and then complaining how busy it is. lol! I am so with you on this ! Mind you during the working week when I am on holiday and go near a shopping centre and see - a) anyone else that should be working shopping b) a child of school age that is not in school I usually "tut" and comment on why they have to be around when I am trying to shop! Woodcat
People that wear hats whilst driving (what is that all about?!)x i have to admit i know of one reason for this it's sun roofs that hold water in the seal somtimes for days and then when you turn a sharp corner cascade it down the back of your neck you need somthing with a wide brim. What really really really gets me is people who undertake. So what if i'm not moving into the slow lane i only keep going if i'd have to pull out again in a minute. grrrrrrrrrr. And even if somones hogging the lane it's soooooooooooo dangerous. oh and BMW's with men with suits in.... 9 times out of 10 they are a pain
