clootie
She's 13 - what do you think? It's supposed to be entered into a competition although she's very vague about the whole thing Life Box I will put in the box The memory of the first words I ever heard My first birthday My first day at school I will put in the box A passage from my favourite book A pinch of sand from my first holiday A scale from a beautiful fish I will put in the box The comforting scent of my mother's clothes The secrets only I could hear The friendship I had with her I will put in the box My friends' names The people I met and knew The memory of my first shopping spree I will put in the box The memory of my life Every waking moment And treasure it for the rest of my days

chooklady
That's lovely. My ED did something similar when she was at junior school and they published a book, Amy was lucky enough to get her's chosen, we were very proud. Wish her good luck with the competition. Seagazer
That was beautiful, well done to your daughter. It brought tears to my eyes My daughter wrote a couple of poems when she was younger and one was printed in the local newspaper, it was about me for Mothers Day and it won a prize, bless. She wrote another one about winter time and we have it up on the wall. She's not written anything like that for ages now though.

Helly Welly
It's very good, it's certainly moved people so it can't be half bad. DD wrote a 50 word story once that was published in an anthology of these stories. We ended up buying a copy for every family member
