Yolky
I am wondering what is the most you have ever spent on a handbag. So far up to now it is £45 on a well used leather cross the body bag from TopShop. However it is our 10th wedding anniversary at the end of the month and there is a *gorgeous* designer bag which I have loved for so long and it is now in the sale. It is still very expensive, about £250, and I would never have dreamed of buying it normally but this is a special event and my husband said he would really like to buy this for me. I really want to buy it but it is alot of money for me to spend on a bag. It would be a one off thing to do. I just can't help feeling a bit naughty though. Willow
I think for me it was about £100 in Turkey on a beautiful kelim bag that I use a lot. If there is a bag you love on sale I'd say go for it. I find I don't actually like the expensive bags I've seen in UK so not been tempted
Guest
I'm not going to say how much but I do have a collection of Radley bags And a nice collection of Radley and Knomo laptop bags. When I was in Saks once there was a personal shopper showing someone the most AMAZING Chanel bag that was $2500 - I spent a loooong time working out the exchange rate and talking myself out of it. Ended up in Canal St buying a damned good fake but not the same bag. £250 - thats a moderately priced handbag. The pricey ones are a LOT more - lucky for me the fashon is for huge ones at the moment and I don't do huge ones.
Looney
The most I've spent is about £40...but if you would get plenty of use from the one you like then perhaps it will be a good buy!
Redwing
There are a lot of over the top stupidly priced bags about but I dont think that makes £250 'moderately' priced To me thats an awful lot of money but if you really want it and will use it a lot then go for it! Incidently the most I ever spent was £120 but I used that bag day in and day out until some tyke nicked it Whatever you decide do have a lovely wedding anniversary
Snowy
MANY years ago I spent £200 on a large Enny bag. I had three Ennys at one point It was lovely buying them at the time, but when they were well used and looking very tatty, I couldn't bring myself to throw them out. I think they are still in the loft somewhere
sparkysmum
Less than a fiver I'm afraid as I just don't do bags. Happy anniversary, have a good one, best wishes, Allison

poachedegg
I 'do' handbags, however not designer ones, I like fashionable ones - but copies are fine with me. So in answer to your question - probably about £20 - £25.....even though I like bags and like to match and be 'on trend' with them, I can't see myself paying ever paying £250 for one - not because I couldn't afford it, but just because I think it is madness to pay that much money! My lastest bag is a Pink 'crocodile skin affect' tote bag from Matalan - probably cost about £10 and I have loads of people admiring it! Guest
about £20 but it's a really nice bag, it has chickens on it and was hand-made! by a friend If you want to treat yourself, just do it, you only have yourself to answer to! Happy anniversary xxx
Olly
A good handbag is an investment, and if you'll use it a lot then go for it! Plenty of people spend that much on outfits that hang in the wardrobe and never get worn. I think my maximum is about £90, but I get all my handbags from TK Maxx - hit and miss as to what you find, but you can usually get good bags there at decent prices. A really good bag can make a cheap outfit look special, and it will make you feel good every time you use it. Go on - you're worth it! abwsco
I think if you've loved it for ages and it's now in the sale, go for it However, I'd say don't leave it for "best" use only. I love slightly unusual handbags and have a lovely The Bridge one which I'm currently using all the time. My other favourite is a Texier which is yonks old but still smells of leather. redhotchick
£20! It was a little red one from Next. I don't think it's leather. It's pretty wrecked now. It was just the right size and shape for me at the time and I used it for ages, still use it occasionally.

bigmommasally
£60 on a lovely tan leather one in Debenhams, I loved and used it constantly but its wrecked now. Let your lovely OH buy you the bag, it will make him happy to know he has fulfilled your dream. And every time you use it he will feel good too
Lesley
I spend £5 or £10 on a bag from the market. Easy for me as I don't buy leather and can't really be bothered with bags anyway. My most expensive was about £20 - hand made by a friend - I have two of them, lovely soft squashy croissant shaped fabric bags - they were great for hospital visiting when I practically lived in my car for a few days......they held everything, including the pack of digestive biscuits! I hope your OH buys the bag for you

Cinnamon
About £100 on a very nice Kipling bag I had to have. I only really do Kiplings & have about 8 of them now,all in different colours, all with matching purses. My favourite everyday one is called 'Defea' & I have it in hot pink for everday, turquoise for holidays & black for funerals. The re-sell value of them is very good on ebay,so when I get bored I sell them on (& usually buy another )
Shirl
My most expensive bag is a Radley limited edition but I don't remember how much it cost. I have a few Radley bags but I have cheap ones too. I buy what I like and am lucky enough not to have to worry about cost.
dancing cloud
£85 on a brown Radley bag that was a really popular design so was never vastly reduced . I own 3 handbags, black, brown and cream to match everything for work. Brown and cream are Radley and are still in excellent condition several years down the line, the black one is a Ciccia (Radley designer now doing cats rather than dogs) that I bought a couple of weeks ago 1/2 price . Might be worth having a look on ebay and googling to see if you can find your bag cheaper - found the Ciccia bargain via google. Have a great anniversary! craftyhunnypie
I am a handbag queen - but never spend too much on them. The most I've ever spent is £60 on a beautiful lambs leather one in Turkey. Still got it & it's perfect. These days I spend on average £20 - £30 on my 'fakes' I have some excellent ones. Radley, Jimmy choo, Chloe. My best being a Louis Vuitton covered in cherries. This got mistaken for the real thing in the LV shop in Salzburg, Austria. The real thing was 990 euros, mine cost £20 from Goa India. Yesterday I bought a blue 'Rosie Webster' one for £20. I love it & am made up with it. Emma.x

chocchick
£25. It could be a really nice momento, it's nice to spoil yourself occasionally (and you have the option to resell on ebay). I wouldn't feel guilty about 1 bag if it makes you happy.
