I think a shopping spree is coming on :) love the hanging chickens, go nice in the kitchen after xmas! I havent got chickens yet! but which book would you recommend from the shop, to help with advice on keeping chickens? Any help would be great.

Starting with chickens by Katie Thear is a good beginners book, but I don't see it in the Omlet shop. The Practical Poultry magazine is a good read too. WHS will have copies. The best source of information by far is this forum :D I have learnt so much on here, far more than I would have done reading a book :D

That's a point-might try that. But then that would encourage me to spend more money!!! Opps. Anyway we're going to Langport at the weekend as it's Dad's birthday, so will buy it then.

 

That's why I'm not going to Essex!!! I don't think Dad would want to drive me there any time of the year-let alone on his birthday!

Chook decs are hanging on the tree. My eldest spotted them and told OH :shock: OH said b****y chickens and then said to the kids that when we do not have enough money for food it is because Mum has spent all our money on chicken stuff :shock::lol::lol::lol:

 

 

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me :D (and anyway who needs to BUY food when you have the lovely eggs)

Didnt tell neighbours on one side that we have chickens but yesterday they popped round with my Christmas decs & wobbly chicken from Omlet - the package had a large Omlet sticker on the outside - there were some raised eyebrows :lol::lol::lol::lol:

 

Wobbly chicken now sitting proudly on kitchen window - look v cool & wobbly! :lol::lol::lol:

what wobbly chicken? is that one of the tealight holders? or is there something new and exciting I dont know about??? :D

 

if it was a tealight thingy-magig - what colour did you go for?
