BeckyBoo Posted August 12, 2009 Share Posted August 12, 2009 ....my father-in-law was taken into the local hospice last Saturday, he's in the last stages of cancer and had been managing well for the last two years, but in the last month the balance tipped and the dreadful disease has well and truly got hold of him. He and I have had our ups and downs, especially this year and I've not really seen him much, but he's been a brilliant Grandad and my children are really going to miss him. Spoke to the ex this morning and it's a matter of days now, so if any of you pray would you put in a good word next time you're talking to him upstairs or whoever you pray to? And lets hope that some genius somewhere finds a cure, too many people have to suffer this. I know you have to die of something when you're old but this is really not very nice.
