Thanks for all the congrats for Devon. She is already retaking it next year at college as a combined English lit/lang course, rather than just lit, but its great that she got such a good grade so early.

 

Its really boosted her confidence, & she now says she feels good about working towards an A this time next year

Well done The Lurker and Devon:D ES had his AS results this morning and they are much better than he was expecting

 

Unfortunately some of his friends didn't get an automatic place at the 6th form for completing their A levels in September as their grades wern't good enough fingers crossed for them.

Keep going Lewis, ((hugs)) you've got a chance ahead of you. Reckon if you choose subjects you enjoy then you'll put the extra effort in and you'll get the results you want with A levels.

Don't despair, Lewis . Once you've got over the initial disappointment you can start to focus on what to do next - it sounds like you're at that stage already . That's just what we're doing with my ES - looking at the positives and making plans .

Try not to worry Lewis. Definitely pick the subjects that you enjoy the most. This is what the teachers told our DD to do. You can do it, you know you can.

Bit late I know, but my daughter got really good A level results yesterday. So pleased-and relieved !! Much worse than waiting for my own results, I feel. She has a place at Leeds Uni but has deferred this for a year as she has a place working in the French Alps at a ski resort. Just bar and restaurant work, but she gets all her keep, some money, and best for her, free skiing and snowboarding

Lewis, these are just AS results, try to focus in on what you really want to do next year and get really into it and I'm sure you'll get there for next year!
