It was so cold yesterday, we had an elderly client in the office and we had to give him some tea and sympathy and a good warm before he could go on his way. He was a different man when he left I felt so sorry for him his wife has servere altzeimers and he is her carer, so sad , It really made me count my blessings. I have looked after my elderly neighbour, 3 doors down, for years now, she will be 90 next year. This time last year, she was in hospital and all her family live miles away, so aren't able to be with her, plus she won't consider moving nearer to them. We now have her set up with a cleaner/helper, who is another neighbour, plus social services/healthcare visitors 3 times a day, and meals delivered. I just had a call from her next door neighbour to say that the carer had been in and called an ambulance for her; don't knwo why at this stage.
