Cinnamon
I had a viral thing a couple of weeks ago - headache, nausea, extreme tirdness. Got over that for about 2 days & now have a horrid nasty cold with a fever. I feel most odd - really out of it, so excuse my posts if I have been a bit rambly! Anyone else had the lurgy? chickencam
My ED had a horrible cold the other week which has knocked her for six. She picked it up on a DofE training weekend and she has her full silverpractive weekend this coming weekend. She is a bit better this week but still really tired. Hope you feel better soon
Griffin
I've got some kind of lurgy now, I'm off to the doctors in half an hour, it was either that or chop my head off. Infact I couldn't decide if I should go to the doctors or back to the dentists but Mr Griffin pointed out the doctor is cheaper! I had a scale & polish at the dentists last Wednesday. Cor blimey it hurt! Afterwards I felt like I'd had sandpaper rubbed vigorously across my gums and all my top teeth hurt. I came home from work early and went to bed. By Thursday it was fine. Friday afternoon my mouth started to hurt at the bottom by my back teeth and by Saturday morning the gums all along there were covered in ulcers. OUCH! I've now just got one big ulcer, plus one on my tongue that rather annoys me. But the biggest problem of all is the shooting pains that start in my jaw, go up my face, through my ear and out the top of my head. It hurts to swallow too and my ear hurts a lot. I feel like poo. I tried to cure it myself with a heck of a lot of port but it still hurts a lot today
chickencam
Ever since I had a bad cold when I was in my early 20s and my FIL made me a lovely hot toddy with loads of honey, whiskey and lemon and hot water. I have sworn by them when I have a cold.
Chucky Mama
OH has had a cough & bunged up since when he has what I thought was swine flu months ago. Saw consultant yesterday, now on steriods Unfortunately I am getting tired of his constant complaining and now feel like a complete for being unsupportive. hillfamily
Hope you feel better soon Sarah It's not nice feeling poorly and out of sorts Take care of yourself and try to get some rest if at all possible There are a lot of lurgies going around at the moment, both DD and DS are threatening to come down with something...just so long as they don't give it to me for my birthday next week, not the sort of present I was hoping for, even if it is sent with love

henriette
Sorry to hear about people's ailments - do hope you all get well very soon. All we have had is aching limbs, bad backs and sore muscles. I guess we have to put that down to old age though.

Remind me not to visit your dentist I have just visited my dentist this morning for similar treatment and felt I needed to apologise for my raw cracked lips and catarrh trickling down the back of my throat...yuk. Hope everyone gets better soon.

Griffin
I've got some kind of lurgy It sounds like you have had some over enthusiastic treatment. Remind me not to visit your dentist Indeed I did! Because my gums are inflammed, my mouth on that side is swollen and so is the joint on my jaw and it's the swelling there that is affecting the nerves in my head. It even hurts to touch my hair! I now have anti-inflammatories and some super duper painkillers that sent me to sleep this afternoon. I'm taking the night off work and will knock a few more back! Patricia W
This time last year I had a cold which left me with a cough that lasted through till March. I know I never thought I'd stop coughing - worst thing was on the phone. I'd have to stop talking and go outside to cough my heart out! Only good thing is that it now seems like a dim memory. So hopefully all those ill now will hardly remember being ill in a few months time. Stay strong everyone - it will get better.
