Egluntyne
Revnev says: The Christian Voice Group (so-called) are notorious reactionary, homophobic lunatics who have no valid claim to call themselves The Christian Voice at all... Come on Revnev...don't sit on the fence...tell us what you really think of them!! Edited December 13, 2006 by Guest
Aunty e
oooh gosh, Christian Voice are VILE. Horrible bigots. Look for their website if you want to know why. My daddy is a minister (methodist) and sometimes I swear I can see steam coming out of the top of his head when he reads about their latest 'cause'. I think the sprouts are ACE. I won't send Christmas cards because I know that I@ll never remember to send them in time/who I need to send them to. I do like getting them though
Popcorn
I've read this thread with amazement and amusement - especially Phil's brilliant card. And to think somebody is paid to come up with these ridiculas theories. They must be so bored, they are doing it for a giggle. It's lovely to get a card at christmas-time regardless of the picture on the front - although since we're discussing it I do prefer non-religious scenes and would instinctively go for the brussel sprouts because of it's artistic appeal
Trish
I am a christian and do tend to buy and send cards with what for me is the meaning of Christmas as the theme but I do it for me not the recipients if I'm honest. I couldn't care less what is on the cards I receive as I look at the inside before the front anyway. Christmas means different things to all of us sowhy can't these people just be tolerant of someone elses Christmas card. Drives me mad when there are so many terrible things going on in this world and some one spend so much energy on something that really is pretty irrelevant anyway. Laura & CTB
Well the meaning of this Christmas for me is chickens!! It's my girlies first Christmas and they have bought everyone pressies (every designer chick has her own credit card) and all my cards are chicken themed complete with feathers donated by Prada and Gucci.... Spot on Trish! I always read the words in the card first too. I haven't yet had a card that I actually made a face to either. I'm just happy to recieve one and am pleased that someoine has taken the trouble to think of me, write it and post it. You can't beat that. ...all my cards are chicken themed complete with feathers donated by Prada and Gucci.... I bet that cost a bit Laura - designer christmas cards
