Lesley
Since I wrote earlier Tali has gone to the back door 4 times - and performed outside each time and hasn't piddled after coming back in! She also crept into Jazz's bed in the kitchen.......and Jazz didn't react apart from a low growl Jazz is in the bed! She doesn't show well against the black bed. They've had a couple of skirmishes since then though
Sunshine
She is gorgeous! She has grown loads since you last posted pics. At dog training we have a couple of labs. One is a month younger than Lola so is about 6months now and the other is about 4 months and is now bigger and chubbier than Lola who is 7.5 months! Tali looks in really good shape though, the younger lab at dog training is going to be massive in both directions-upwards and outwards! Its really interesting to read how others are getting on with their puppies. We are still struggling with training in that my dad and brother still play fight and scare Lola on purpose. So this evening when she was at the door wanting to go out i tried to put a lead on her and she cowered away and then thought it was a game. Each time i tried she did it so i walked away each time and then in the end i called her to me and then she was fine. Have you been taking Tali dog training or have you done it alone? I've just scrolled down again to look how cute she is before i post! She is lovely and i hope Jazz soon learns to completly accept her. It seems to be going slowly but steadily though. Chook n Boo Mum
I recognise the expression on Jazz's face, Jess wears it a lot when Daisy is being a brat .......even after 2 years ........but they have managed to both be in the same bed/sofa/bench without Jess doing her "scalded dog" routine, so eventually life will settle Lovely girls Lesley and congratulations on the dry floors Sha x
Snowy
Oh my goodness! Look at the size of her - and she's still a beauty! I just love that expression on Jazz face in the second pic Looks like she's saying "THAT is nothing whatsoever to do with me!"
Lesley
Jazz looks like that every morning - it's her "Is that brat still here " look We haven't taken Tali to puppy training yet - we will start in the New Year. She's very quick to learn.......unless it involves piddling on the floor - whioch she has done twice since I was last here.....right in front of us, not because she has been left alone. They have great fun ratting together. We are off to the Puppy Party at the Vets on Thursday night - it will be fun to see how she gets on with the other puppies, Jazz was very unsure when she went. Seagazer
Lovely photos, we have the same problem that you do with Jazz in the bed, if we take photos of Dave on our settees you can't see where he is. Jazz doesn't look happy with Tali in the second photo does she, bless her.
The Dogmother
Lovely photos Lesley Boy has she grown can't wait to see her for a cuddle on Saturday. The cats give Ruby the same look
Lesley
e've just weighed her - on the scales with Carl - and she's about 10kg now! I met our previous next-door neighbour outside the shop this morning......she has a 12 week old Springer puppy! - he seemed so small compared to Tali, she's 14 weeks now.. They should be at the puppy party on Thursday as well!
The Dogmother
Goodness, she's grown! That's half what Ruby weighs.. but then they're different builds. I bet you're looking forward to the puppy party.

Space Chick
Adorable They are both so lovely, and I'm sure that once Tali grows up a bit more that Jazz will accept her
Lesley
They are much better together since Saturday......... Looking at that photo again I think Jazz is thinking "I can't stand up or she'll have her nose up my backside again " - Jazz is very fussy like that Jazz is normally just over 23kg but she's carrying a bit more weight at the moment as she is having training treats at almost the same rate as Tali and she's also not having as long a walk each time as she normally has as it would be too much for Tali, she'll lose it again in Spring. Tali's mother is only 23 kg as well.

Lesley
Today Tali whined at doors and waited until she was outside apart from a tiny puddle on the mat by the backdoor - about time! We also went to the Puppy Party and were very surprised - Tali did piddle first - with nerves Our feisty little puppy went into anxious mode and hid under our chairs ......tail between her legs and ears back. She was like that for most of the evening but eventually came out of her shell. We really didn't expect that. She persecutes Jazz but was scared of two black Labs the same size, a small Terrier and a Retriever The black Labs had different owners but were brother and sister - the boy 'was very interested' in everything in sight......became very overexcited and paid a lot of erm......attention to all and sundry....including his sister and all humans ....and Tali weighed in at 11.85 kg - time for a few less training treats I think. Snowy
Yay! Well done Tali Soon those little accidents will seem like a distant memory Hopefully the puppy party will have tempered her overexuberance a little!
Lesley
No....it didn't.....she came home and terrorised Jazz
The Dogmother
sounds like Ruby at that age, even a husky pup twice her size didn't cut her down at the puppy classes.
Snowy
No....it didn't.....she came home and terrorised Jazz Poor Jazz!
Lesley
We have had a whole week now with no puddles on the floor Tali goes to the door and whines I really thought it was never going to happen We also met up with Carl's brother's Lab puppy (Nidd) - he's two weeks older than Tali and the three played quite nicely in the back garden for about 15 minutes. Jazz was much better with him than she has been with other dogs previously. The lady who was Jazz's one on one trainer recommended a good book about introducing a puppy........I wish I'd spoken to her sooner We've changed a couple of small things...........one of them being feeding. I was so obsessed with the fact that dogs eat in the utility room..... We now feed Jazz in the kitchen and Tali in the utility room which takes one level of anxiety away from Jazz and works much better.
The Dogmother
Jazz was much better with him than she has been with other dogs previously. That'll be because he's a boy - it's always more difficult to get two female dogs to get along. Glad to hear that the piddling has finally stopped - it's almost as if they suddenly see the light, isn't it?
Lesley
She nearly saw the door, never mind the light!
