Lesley
OMG how cute!! We have just picked up our new Lab puppy - he's a boy though. He's settling in well but as he's the only dog we've not had to go through the introducing stage. Your pup is SOOOOOO CUTE!!!! Well, you know we'll need photos ..... Lesley
We've been socialising.......and we're all shattered! I had to collect something from town so we thought we'd take the chance to introduce Tali to people and shops. We started at Tesco and walked up and down by the doors, so many people stopped, trolleys were clanging and toddlers lunged towards both dogs - they behave perfectly. Tali was not impressed that she couldn't go down on the floor Then we went into town and to the cafe , we sat outside and met lots more people. It was so tiring for both dogs, Jazz was brilliant! and Tali was a little darling ! We called in at Lush as dogs are allowed in there and Tali met another black lab in there. Out in the precinct Carl and Tali were accosted by a very big biker, wearing his leathers, bald and covered in tattoos - he strode over and said "Aaaaaah - she's lovely" Both dogs are asleep now - and Tali isn't used to being left alone for long so I just have to sit here next to her We've got visitors coming later.........we should all sleep through the night tonight! Couperwife
wow, sounds like everything is going well I didnt know that dogs could go in lush , thats quite went into Lush in newcastle yesterday, do they have a policy on employing "interesting" people? 2 girls have bright pink hair and one guy have more facial piercings than I have ever seen before , all of them were just soooo lovely though, couldnt have been more helpful cathy x
Lesley
- it's all cloned girls in Stratford .....they all have dark hair. The manager always asks how our bees are and how Jazz is . She remembers Jazz at the same age. I told her that Tali hadn't been for a wee for a while and she was "don't worry, we had a big black lab pee all over the fire extinguisher yesterday"

Lewis
Not that I go in all the time, but when you go past the Lush in town our people look relatively normal!

Space Chick
Keep the photos coming Lesley, they are both such beautiful dogs Great to see that Jazz is accepting her new sister, I'm sure they will be inseparable in no time. Tali is a real sweetheart
Mrs Frugal
Oh bless her . Isn't she adorable. I'm a bit worried that she's attacked the chickens and pigs though .
Lesley
You should see the video I took - she pounces like a cat!! I forgot to say - Tali encountered the electric fence today We asked the Vet on Monday and he said let her learn........ So hard to watch her getting nearer and nearer to it. Luckily her first zap was on her side and she yelped, hopefully, she will stay away now. Jazz was a bit older when we set up the fence - and she stuck her little wet nose on it .....we couldn't see her for dust
Nutmeg
Have been unable to post for ages as my computer was being re-built and I then had password problems. I have just caught up with all the lovely photos and updates of Jazz and Tali and all I can say is WOW! What a gorgous pup and what a wonderfullly good girl Jazz is being. Looking forward to more photos, they both look so angelic.

Ziggy
How are Tali and Jazz doing?
Lesley
Jazz is still just tolerating Tali - she is doing everything right and she grows and pins Tali down ..........Tali is just too feisty and will not stop snapping at Jazz's heels and backside We're waiting to hear about a home visit from the trainer we used for Jazz, just to make sure we're doing all we can and not leave it too long if we need to do something else. We have fewer piddles now but Tali thinks nothing of going on command outside and then just squatting down on the carpet as soon as we come back in??? We praise her and give her little treats for using the area outside.............just have to keep persevering I suppose. We had a houseful of visitors on Saturday so we moved all the puppy pen barriers and made a circle within a circle in the middle of the room - and arranged all the furniture around that. Jazz had her escape route into the inner circle when she'd had enough. They both came out and watched the fireworks - I sprayed Jazz's collar well with DAP spray as she wasn't as sure of fireworks last year as she had been before.....she was fine. Snowy
Does Tali have a crate? I don't know if you do it already, but it's worth giving Tali time out occasionally if she starts getting too hyper. Lots of games with chewy toys and things, but if she persists on using Jazz as a chew, then it's time out. It takes a while but they soon get the hang of what they can and can't tackle! Also gives Jazz some peace and quiet.
Lesley
She certainly does! - I couldn't cope if they weren't crate trained! Sometimes it's Tali in hers, sometimes it's Jazz.....and sometimes it's me!!! (in the puppy pen....on my own...
The Dogmother
We met Tali on Saturday - she's lovely, smells divine and I kissed her tummy and ears . No time now, but will post photos later.

I once saw someone ask about how to teach children not to touch the TV. The advice was to get a playpen - for the adult and the TV! Looking forward to the pics Claret! The Dogmother
Right here goes, please excuse my 'saturday face' - raced out of the house far to early to bother with make-up Tali was totally gorgeous, a bundle of wriggles as she wanted to go down, but she was very patient when I wanted to nuzzle and kiss her ears and tum Thanks to Rosie for taking the photos. Getting lots of ear kisses
Snowy
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw!!!!!!!!! Snuggly! Must remember to take a large bag next time I visit.
The Dogmother
You'd need a bag with as strong zip, or she'd wriggle her way out!

Ziggy
They are fidgety aren't they... the only time Charlie keeps still is when he's asleep, otherwise he looks like he is constantly connected to some form of electric stimulus... He is calmer when I carry him in my arms, like when I took him on the schoolrun to meet the girls' friends, but he is getting big at a truly unbelievable rate and I won't be able to carry him for long... Those pictures of Tali and Claret are sooooo cuddly and lovely . Looks like Tali is growing a lot too!!
Lesley
Ooooooh! lucky you if Charlie is content to be carried - Tali hates it and it's like trying to hold a bag of eels I checked with the Vet yesterday to make sure that the appt. next Monday was the earliest she could have her second vaccinations......it is I'm seriously considering cutting leg holes in a rucksack "Ooops, word censored!"ody would want to put her in a bag today Snowy - she's thrown up all over the utility room floor this morning. She was fine but tired afterwards. She's just had a soggy weetabix with a teasp of yoghurt and woofed that down.......and looking for the rest I'll have her on small but frequent (and bland) meals as she doesn't have any puppy fat and can't afford to lose weight so I don't want to fast her unless she vomits again. She'll be on cooked chicken and rice tonight.
The Dogmother
Sorry to hear she's been sick Lesley - did she eat too fast perhaps? I know what a gannet she is! Give her a wee bit of Avipro in her water, that always helps if they've been sick or got dire rear. Give her a big kiss from me, I expect that she'll be twice the size when I see her in two weeks!
