OK, its October now, so I feel I can join in this Christmas Talk

 

I have a few presents tucked away already, and a load of wrapping paper. I don't send Christmas Cards, I donate what I would have spent on cards to a charity instead (all my family and friends know I do this), this year I think I will donate to the BHWT.

 

Its going to be a bit bare in the Spacey household this year, we are going away on Christmas eve for Christmas and New Year, so OH has categorically refused to put a tree and decorations up this year

 

I'm sure I'll forgive him when I am am sipping Champagne in the 3 Michelin Starred Joel Robuchon restaurant in Las Vegas enjoying my rather exciting Christmas Dinner As long as Santa and Rudolf know where to find me

We bought several rolls of gold and silver wrapping paper in our local Waitrose in January and guess what...? We can't find them

 

We have a couple of things put away and I have bought a baby Fraser Bear on ebay for OH, he has the whole set bar 2004 baby bear with the red jumper which we found on ebay a couple of weeks back and I forgot to bid . It is the only one that we have ever seen

 

Don't ask why my husband collects Fraser Bears He is a big teddy himself

Just stopped myself in time before I bought 2 Cadbury advent calenders yesterday. Didn't help mum saying that there wouldn't be any left by the time I wanted them. Shhhh mum.

Apparently Harrods put their tree up in August for the tourists.

Thankyou Fluffyknickers for the House Of Fraser linky thingy I hadn't seen this years bear yet. he is quite cute in a serious scruffy kind of way. last year's wasn't as nice.

 

House of Fraser have done a foot-dated bear at Christmas since 1996 when a friend of ours bought one for DS's first Christmas. They then started doing baby versions in 2000

 

Harrods also do a foot-dated bear every year, but we only have one of those and he is lovely.

 

We only started to collect them a couple of years ago and it has taken until now to nearly get them all, but we have recently found out that there are keyring versions too, not sure when they started.

 

They are all lined up along the back of out corner suite sofa and they do get played with quite a bit, we are all a bit silly

I found myself in the staff shop yesterday, buying fairy lights

 

Have quite a few pressies, but need to start a list I love lists

 

Hamper fillers are doing well, but need to crack on with a few more bits and pieces.

 

Definitely feeling more Christmassy now the weather is turner colder.

My craft kit has arrived & my pom pom makers, so I will be making my Xmas cards & some pom pom funky wreaths very soon!

I'm making a scarf at the minute as someone's present, have already made another one and a bag too. I'm trying to save some money this year so am hand making practical things for people, like wristwarmers, scarves, mittens etc.

 

Might have a go at making some soaps too and some artwork for people.

I made 3 pink pom poms today - with my gadget. They are crying out to be sewn onto some sort of pixie slippers! Now who could I make those for?

I've also done some pyramage from my craft kit ready for my Xmas cards.

They've got a freebie catalogue out at the moment - the seafood platter looks And lots of little cute cakes - as well as fabulous ones (saw the butterfly in our local this week - very pretty).
