He is absolutely gorgeous. A friend of mine lives on top of a Welsh mountain with her bees and flock of around 30 barred and laced wyandotte bantams - one of my favourite places to go.

what did you do to prepare him.

 

I scrubbed him under the mixer tap in the kitchen sink with a soft nail brush and dog shampoo, he didnt like it

 

He did however like the warm kitchen for the night, we excluded as much light as possible from his box and turned all lights off forgetting that the incubator lights up when the fan kicks in... cue 3am crowing

I now have frizzle lavender and smooth lavender cockerels so the smooth gets the frizzle girlies and the frizzle gets the smooth girlies - I was completely unaware that its not a good idea to breed frizzle to frizzle therefore HAD to get another cockerel
