I don't like trifle (I just can't understand cold custard!) However i have made it for my brother and i have always put sponge in, I thought every trifle was supossed to have sponge in.

This is a trifling subject - personally I hate the stuff, mum used to try and make me eat it. on their own jelly, custard and cake are yum together so I cant vote. Sorry
