dippy bird
over Christmas? Next Sunday (20th), I am cooking a christmas dinner for apx 22 members of my family ,which will make Christmas day seem like a walk in the park as I am only cooking for 11. Anybody else as mad as me out there?

chickenanne
7 this year. The "best" was cooking for 12 with no hob (just three camping gas stoves begged/borrowed from assorted neighbours) as our LPG gas pipes were leaking which we discovered Christmas eve (fortunately, oven was electric). Space Chick
None this year, as away The most I have catered for is 60, and I vowed NEVER AGAIN!!!!! (However, this wasn't on Christmas day itself, the most I have done for Christmas day is 8.)
majorbloodnock
Just four here, too; My wife and me, and our two kids. In years past, we've often thrown a Christmas Eve party which has invariably been successful because most people are relieved not to have to cook at that time. That's usually meant catering for about a dozen, but we're not hosting it this year so I get off scot-free.
The Dogmother
There will be 10 of us this Christmas Day - for those of you who have seen my house, the seating will be quite a miracle! Two large free range birds, all the trimmings and a variety of desserts...... Boxing Day off as we go to the outlaws for the day.
docsquid
Just the three of us this year (DH and MIL). Most I have cooked for is 17 on Boxing Day, but I sincerely hope that this year somebody else will be responsible for the family get-together! I prefer it when it is a small, quiet dinner. Redwing
just me and hubby - he is working on Christmas day so we will have a proper evening dinner with home grown chicken and veg for the first time The big brown chicken running around our field has no idea of our plans

Griffin
None We're off to my parents house as soon as the kids have opened their presents and the dogs have been walked. I get away with it on Boxing Day too because I'm going to work while Mr Griffin takes the kids to his brothers Because they'll eat lunch and dinner there I'll make sure I've got lots of yummy nibbles to chow down on at work. I'm quite looking forward to it.

chelsea
None - we are out to Christmas lunch at a local restaurant with the in-laws. Christmas Day evening we go to my sister's house and have a good old knees up (karaoke, guitar hero, board games galore) with buffet. Boxing Day just us two and then I will cook roast beef & trimmings in my pyjamas.

Seagazer
We've got 20 for a sit down meal on Sunday after the annual ice skating get together for OH's side of the family. First time we've done it. Gulp We've done lots of buffets for parties but getting them all around the tables for this one will be fun - I hope. Got the 5 of us, MIL and SIL and BIL for Christmas this year which is perfectly manageable especially as OH cooks the Christmas dinner
