A chickychickychick-ENN!!
I've finished my pottery neanderthal Christmas village. It's out of the kiln. As you can see, it's exactly as cavemen would have lived at Christmas, in little mud huts with thatched roofing to match their messy hair, next to giant toadstools which are almost as big as fir trees. It is on top of my piano as neanderthals like music.

theherd123
I love the thatch! Do the houses have tea lights in them?
A chickychickychick-ENN!!
Electric tealights to avoid neanderthal fires on the piano. The thatch is clay pushed through a tiny extruder (garlic press). Such a fun way to kill a garlic press!

A chickychickychick-ENN!!
It's well easy. Coil pots, and a garlic press, then some wadding-stuffing popped over some tupperware. WELL easy! But thanks! I like them. Even though they look like they were made by a nine year-old... (Actually, most of my stuff looks like it was made by a nine year-old... )
Chook n Boo Mum
Personally I feel that 9year old art is under-rated............... Gorgeous little houses and are the toadstools yours too? Sha x
craftyhunnypie
Gorgeous! You really are clever Achicky...! I much prefer yours to those Victorian type villages. Yours is more realistic & Christmassy! Emma.x
A chickychickychick-ENN!!
Thanks CHP! Sha - I cheated and bought the snow, candles, toadstools and trees. Ssssh! Don't tell! Although I did decide to make some toadstools in pottery which need painting and things. Toadstools and garlic press stuff is the way forward. I wasn't impressed with the glaze on my plate. Going to focus on making woodland tat instead of crockery next term.
