The Dogmother
My shoulder has been problematic for a couple of months now and I've been meaning to go to my osteopath to get it looked at, just not had the time. The cold weather has had my back playing up too (prolapsed disc a few years ago) so I decided to go now while I have time off work. Back was sorted in a moment, but he was gobsmacked about my shoulder - turns out that I'd been wandering around with a partially dislocated shoulder 'didn't it hurt?' he asked 'just a wee bit stiff' I said and reminded him of my high pain threshold. And to think that I'd still been training with it like that! It's all sorted now and feels like new
Redwing
Crikey! any idea how it happened in the first place? That reminds me of all the horsewonmen who fall off break a collar bone and just get back on the horse to finish their ride
The Dogmother
No idea Tasha. Hector asked if I'd fallen or similar, but I honestly can't remember; I do lots of fairly physical stuff so it could have been anything TBH. It's just been uncomfortable to sleep on
ClaireG
I dislocated my shoulder years ago cleaning out a freezer. I was in agony, obviously i'm a lot more wimpish than you!!
The Dogmother
Awww, not true Claire! This was only partially dislocated, so I could still use it and it wasn't too bad.

Looney
Oh my! Pleased that you have got it sorted out Is it likely to happen again? I hope not for your sake.
The Dogmother
I doubt it'll happen again and am puzzled as to how it'd been done in the first place It wasn't totally out, just not wheer it should have been, which explained the discomfort and lop-sided feeling. When he showed me in the mirror and I felt it, i could see what he was on about. I feel a bit achey and bruised now though and have jugged down the arnica as he also did lots of work on my lower back and neck. Off for a hot shower now... The Dogmother
We've worked out how I did it!! Rosie and I were walking Ruby through a field of livestock a few weeks back, she was on the lead, but obviously forgot about it when she decided to take off like Usain Bolt after a rabbit, jerking my arm so I fell over!
