summer warmth

Recommended Posts

Generally speaking I loathe the summer. I dislike being hot and enjoy the cooler seasons. However after dressing up in coat, scarf, gloves and wellies for the umpteenth time to sort out the ladies, I can't wait to slip out the back door in shorts and sandals - bliss! ( not just shorts and sandals obviously - that would be inappropriate)

I can't wait either!

I love summer, but don't like being too hot - mid 70's is perfect for me.

Warm enough for shorts, icy rosé wine, sunglasses & my veggies to grow without me having to water them twice a day :D

I don't mind the cold & rain, so long as I am snugly tucked up indoors, looking out!

I used to prefer the winder, but now I really can see the appel of summer. Not too hot mind. About 24/25 deg with a very gentle breeze 8) The only downside of summer for me, apart from wasps  is my skin reacts to sunlight and I get a horrible itchy rash, unless I wear factor max all the time.

I do prefer the warmth of summer but not too hot. Around 25 degrees suits me just fine. I really dislike being too hot and I also burn very easily so if the sun is too strong I spend the whole time slathered in sun cream.

I work on the principle that if I'm too cold, I can put more layers on, but if I'm too hot.... well there's a limit to how much I can take off!:lol:

I love the springtime when the light is good, the days are lengthening, which they are already  and everything is growing like mad.

I don't like the extremes of either winter or summer, but would rather have cold crisp winter than dark damp winter. I am craving some warm sunshine at the moment though.

I Just can't wait :!:

I am so desperate for spring/ summer. The snow was lovely for Christmas but it's just treacherous now. I long for warm, long days. For early morning runs, for planting & tending, for the chickens pecking around my feet, for activity in the pond, for buds bursting into flower, for bluebells, for poppies, for warmth on my skin, to be able to dry clothes outdoors, for BBQ's. For all these simple things and more I want the sun.

I know Star Trek Next Generation had one of those decks. Now that would be fun.

Too much snow for too long. Usually we have one bout (when it does decide to snow) and then one week later that's it - and usually in February when the weather is warmer anyway. Having a ton of blubber and reaching a certain age has helped with not feeling cold. I've only had a couple of nights where I needed Murray's dressing gown over the top of the quilt. Still no heating on at the moment. It's the dull grey days that get to me - quite depressing.
