Had a girl (yes, girl not woman) from NPower at the door today.

 

I can't remember what she was commenting on but she said "children" then a tiny pause and added "and grandchildren".

 

Please tell me I don't look old enough to have grandchildren .

Actually I think you could be about 36 and have grandchildren...and so that's probably what the woman from Npower meant.....you look 36

actually I know of a girl who was 14 when she had her daughter

 

but that means - technically she could be a granny at 28

I have actually switched to NPower . I've checked online since and we will save a few hundred a year and also get £100 one off discount and £100 direct debit discount pa.

 

She looked about 12 so I'm sure I must have looked ancient to her .

how strange to see this thread.......on thursday last week I took my niece shopping and the girl in the shop suggested that my niece get her granny (me!!!!) to take her for a hot chocolate... I was horrified, my niece just smiled sweetly

i am not a granny, nor ever likely to be it seems as none of my boy seem to want to settle down

When ever we take the neighbours kids out (5, 3 and 1), more so the little boy, people never know if I'm their brother or dad

That's awful....I had the same thing last year in Morrisons - the woman at the checkout asked me if I was collecting school vouchers for my children or grandchildren.....I wasn't a happy bunny!!
