docsquid
I do hope your knee settles down soon, but please don't risk long-term damage. If it isn't right, don't run, or just walk the marathon instead of running.

Chucky Mama
Hey guys, I am back! The most difficult thing I have ever done I managed it in just under 5 hours I have lost 4 toenails and ache like you wouldn't believe. My knee was very sore at 17 miles but I told myself that if people can walk for miles when they are ill in Africa etc for medical treatment I could get around the course. It was so hot, I did lots of drinking and throwing bottles of water on the ground like proper runners - always wanted to do that.I picked myself up and continued and the pain pretty much disappeared Bloomin' sore now though but I can now rest - for the rest of my life I WILL NOT BE DOING ANOTHER ONE Thank you so much for all of your good wishes and positive vibes I am really touched. Space Chick
Wow Rach, thats a fantastic time I know several Marathon runners that have been unable to get below the 5 hour mark Have a nice soak in a bath, and have a restful day tomorrow (try and go for a small walk though to help your muscles as you will probably be in agony ) Congratulations, you should feel very proud of yourself
Ain't Nobody Here
Huge congratulations to you . Your poor feet, though . You'll be hobbling for a few days . Hope the muscles aren't too bad - keep moving (if you can!) and you may not seize up so badly (hopefully!) Very proud of you - that is such an achievement .
