Cinnamon
OK, so Henley is pretty high on the celeb-o-meter, but even I got excited to see Orlando Bloom choosing tomatoes in Waitrose this afternoon I can report that he is a very nice guy, very cute, & gave an autograph to the daughters boyfriend (for his Mum,bless!) I also had his house pointed out to me, & it is one of those houses that whenever you drive by,you have to look at it & sigh a bit. It is gorgeous - all huge floor to ceiling windows & a fab balcony. I will drive past slower next time in case Orly is out there trying to catch a tan
patsylabrador
I've got an app on my new phone that has a map of the night sky and as you move it round you can spot and name different stars and constellations. I know that's not what you meant but it's the only star spotting I've done recently.
Cinnamon
I have that app too,& very good it is! Do you have an HTC - is it Google Sky you have?
patsylabrador
Yes and yes. I only went in for a simple little nokia but there it is. I've only had it for a few days so it's all bit of a confusion. Fun though. Jealous of the Orlando Bloom spotting.

Lewis
Only recent one I can think of is seeing Chico in the bar at the Hippodrome I went over + asked his what time it was + we got a photo ..... not really as good is it?
Chucky Mama
Only recent one I can think of is seeing Chico You can't count Chico Robbie used to live near here, we used to have Pete Doherty nearby too but I wouldn't really count him as he is drug ravaged fool rather than a star
Space Chick
Catherine Jenkins lives down the road from me

Redwing
I used to live in a village that had a famous recording studio and lots of famous people had houses in the village I used to keep my horse behind a very big star's house and got to know him quite well Frankly Cinnamon I'm amazed you let Orlando get away unscathed! Seagazer
The only 'famous' person who lives near me that I've seen is Gary Bushell unfortunately so not exactly going to start the heart fluttering Quentin Blake the illustrator lived around here and went to DD's grammar school. Thats about it. Very jealous of seeing Orlando though, he's rather yummy.
Griffin
Rory Bremner lives nearby and he's been into my shop, not while I was there though.
Cinnamon
Saw Phillip Schofield in Tesco a couple of weeks ago too,& I saw Liam Gallagher in there one too ,buying strawberry jam. You do get a bit blah about it here,as there are so many of 'em George Harrison,Kylie, Wogan,Rod Stewart,George Cole (one helped me up when I slipped on snow - lovely chap!),Vince Hill,AWT (complete muppet),Carol Decker,Mel B,Lenny & Dawn,John Hannah,Helseltine,Boris Johnson........................apparantly Brad & Ange have been looking at houses in the are too Oralndo was totally gorgeous, with beautiful big brown eyes, but really quite little. Snowy
Isn't it funny how we always expect them to be larger than life and it comes as a surprise when they are so 'normal' sized? Rosemary Connelly came to do the formal opening of our new church building several years ago - I knew she was was only small, she is the same height as me (5'1") but I still expected her to be so much 'bigger'! She arrived on her own, driving a humungous vintage roller - which just made her seem smaller still
ClaireG
My Mum used to have a dress shop and Michele Dotrice used to shop there, she once brough Edward Woodward with her. I've sold wine to James Hazeldine and one of the Archers (can't remember which one!). When we lived in Manchester i saw Audrey Roberts in Sainsburgers and Roy Cropper in a resturant in The Printworks. DH has sworn at Bonnie Langford My BIL has told Isla St Clair to "shut that door" when serving her in Tesco
Space Chick
I go to Cowbridge a fair bit (a posh little town near Cardiff), and you see celebs there quite often, although generally Dr Who, Torchwood people and random people from Welsh TV. My sister has met John Barrowman on several occasions and another friend saw David Tennant at the bread counter at Morrisons. I started stalking that Morrisons, but I was never that lucky
Seagazer
I went to a charity cricket match once and they had a celebrity team so saw a lot then but we were joined on our table by a lovely lady and a couple of children. A little while later her husband turned up and it was Lesley Grantham from Eastenders. They seemed really lovely together.
Cinnamon
ILesley Grantham from Eastenders. They seemed really lovely together. Cinnamon
Had to update....................... I was a giggling wreck
The Dogmother
I grew up near Elstree film studios, so used to see quite a few stars in town. When I worked in London, I met Kylie and chatted to her - lovely girl and as tiny as me too. Nowadays, i have no idea who half of them are A couple of years back, I was chattering away to a nice young blond chap in a bar in Edinbirgh when The Boy came back from the loo to join in the conversation. Turns out that the blond was Ronan Keating.... I had no idea!
chickencam
I like Ronoan Keating, love his voice. The nearest that I have ever come to celebrity is getting Eddy Grundy's autograph at a concert a few years back and then he was on the Archers stall at the Three Counties show, but I didn't recognise him that time, he was a little the worse for wear. We said good evening to John Barnes (ex Liverpool and England footballer) when we were out for a walk near my inlaws years ago and he jogged past us. There are quite a few celebs live near my inlaws on the Wirral, Paul McCartney used to come into the chemist where my MIL worked quite a lot when his children were small, she has got a few of his autographs. He has a house just around the corner from where they live and hosts big New Year parties there from time to time, the biggest being at the Millenium, the fireworks were amazing.
