Piercings?

Recommended Posts

Have any of you got any piercings, other than the standard earlobes?

I have 2 in each ear lobe, & my youngest daughter has a reverse belly button piercing & had her nose done this week.

It looks cute - she has an almost invisible thing in there so school won't make a fuss :?

When I was at the piercing shop I was very tempted to get a Tragus piercing myself, but was worried it would hurt too much :lol:

I would prefer a small little stud or diamond than a ring though.

My work may not like it - we have a no piercings (apart from ear lobe,& only one if those) rule,& we have to wear our hair tied back,so it would be visible.

That said,at least 4 of the checkout girls have them.....................

I have or had depending if Ive remembered to put them back

two belly rings ( I had a very cool chain that joined them together. Cant explain it but a piering ring has a ball on which there are dents the ring fits onto. Well on one of the rings there were 4 dents so that piercing had a second ring that went through the other piercing ring making it look like a chain)

in one ear I have my rook done and the helix done twice at the top. Plus two normal holes

other ear is 4 normal holes

I have two sets of normal holes in my ear lobes, although I have only worn one pair for years now.

I also had my belly button pierced when I was 18 (10 years ago now, eek!) and the top of my ear (don't know if there's a technical term for that?).

My belly button took ages to heal although it did eventually and I've had no probs with it. The top of my ear never healed and started to grow a bump on it, so after 6 months or so I took it out and the hole healed up within a few days - very odd indeed. I suppose I could have a mild metal allergy that I'm not aware of or something.

Anyway, none of my piercings hurt when I had them done (no numbing spray used on them) and only a very slight tenderness as they healed. Nothing to worry about at all.

I had my belly button done when I was in my mid 20's. It sort of rejected itself & grew out. I remember it hanging in by a tiny thread of skin. I am still scarred from it.

I had the top of my ear done too, but that went a bit yuk, so let it heal over.

Got my ears (normal ) done twice & a nose stud. I quite like eyebrow piercings & the tragus too.

Got 2 pretty tattoos also ( a fairy & piglet).

Wonder what else you can do to be different?

Get it done Cinnamon - it looks nice!

I had my ears pierced twice and they were rejected both times. The stud eventually worked its way down to the bottom of my ear lobe and was also hanging onto a thread. However I had my belly button down years ago although I took it out when i was pregnant and then didn't put it back in as my stomach was never the same again!

Gosh, this thread is an education - I have never heard of piercings being rejected before. I take it it's reasonably uncommon? I'm starting to feel amazed mine is still in place after 10 years!

Belly button piercings are one of the worst for being rejected, I understand.

I only have one in each ear, and they were't done until I was 40, I went with ED when she had her ears done, she was 14. They took 6 months to heal and feel comfortable, so I would never have any others.

I hate to see lip and tongue piercings and I am not too keen on eye brows either. I hope that none of my children take to piercing. I wouldn't stop them like my mum did, but it would make me cringe.
