I was disappointed with Kara tonight, but Pamela was fab, I hope that I am half the woman that she is when I am 61, you go girl.

 

Had to laugh at Ann tonight, well done Anton, you can see his sanity slipping away.

I'm getting so cross when I watch Ann that its probably not doing my blood pressure any good. Imagine if any of the others had done something like that to what is supposed to be the dance of love.

 

Matt was fantastic and I'm upset that the judges didn't 'get' his dance. I thought Kara did very well. Scott did get higher scores than he deserved for that dance but I really think that the judges were just trying to save him from being too low down the scoreboard. At least he tried to dance, exhaustion is obviously playing a major part in his life at the moment. Normally he is such a good dancer.

 

Pamela's was good but she's not one of my favourites. Gavin's was awful, a lot of his was his inability to jive but also I don't think the choreography helped.

I agree - Matt's dance was very good. Don't know why the judges didn't see the story.

 

I have a lot of admiration for Anton but Ann has to go this week surely.

I have to say that I think the judges scoring is stupid this series, totally wrong. How can a 9 be given when somebody has forgotten the steps and stumbles, ridiculous.

 

I still haven't got over Kara's 6 from Len last week.

OK I am getting annoyed now - how on earth can Ann and Gavin win over Patsy? she is not a contender for the prize but Ann has GOT to go - she has none of the humility or humour of the lovely Patsy or Jimmi. And I can't forget her approach to Clause 28 (showing my age now ). If she was nice and funny and humble and self-deprecating I would not mind wuite so much....but she is just vile on every level.

 

 

Rant over. Matt will surely win because he is the best all rounder. And such a nice man. But I would be unhappy about Aliona if I were his wife. Scott is too erratic. Pamela is just glorious isn't she? I am loving this series apart from the lack of dance off and weird marking...

Ann Widdicombe aside (because she seems to be in a separate competition all of her own) Gavin should have gone this week. His dance was truely awful and he even admitted that he hated it. The choregraphy was weird too, although that wasn't his fault.

 

I am ashamed to admit this, but I howled with laughter at Ann and Anton's dance. But really, she needed to have gone weeks ago. It's a dancing show, not a comedy show.

I actually don't have an issue with Ann still being in the show...

 

Ultimately, it is up to the vote. The way the show is organised (whether we agree with that or not!!) is that the person with the lowest score (i.e. Vote) leaves. Even if the bottom 2 still went to a "dance off" in front of the judges, I think Ann would still be in as she has not been in the bottom 2 yet??? (Happy to be wrong here...)

 

If you look at the voting, the public response has been an overwhelming YES to Ann. So why should she leave?

 

Cynically, you could also argue why did the Beeb put her in to begin with - the odds were always pretty much against her ever being a fantastic dancer, you didn't need to put her on Strictly to realise that! If they are regretting that choice, they only have themselves to blame.

Managed to catch this last night; I am so glad that Patsy has gone - her 'poor me' act was wearing a tad thin and reminded me of that whingey columnist Liz Jones, but then they apparently share the same taste in men if rumours are to be believed (Jim Kerr) .

 

A shame that Ann and Gavin have stayed, but even Ann was more entertaining than Gavin the Plank

 

The rest performed very well despite the tiredness showing with a few mistakes . Matt was let down with clunky choreography. I see it being between Kara, Matt and Pamela at the end.

Ok..Gavin danced really really well (for him) this week and if there was any justice he would stay in this week and go our next ....but with the Widdicombe factor, (why oh why do people like her??? she is one of the most self opinionated conceited people on the planet grrrr ), he will go this week....and then...who next...because once he's out...the good dancers are going to start going...whilst Anne Widdicombe (with so much less grace than John Sargeant) stays in????

I thought it was Ann's best dance - at least she tried to dance this week. But she really has to go although I suspect it will be Gavin that goes.

 

Kara was amazing, Pamela deserved her 40 and Matt was as consistently great as always.

 

I'm sorry but Scott is grating more and more now.

I didn't understand why Kara's dance didn't get a full house of 10's. It was spectacular, and the dress she wore was divine.

 

Pam was fab and deserved her score. Loved Matt.

Have to confess that I voted for my favourites tonight, for the first time this series, just because then I'll at least feel that I've tried to get Ann out! I did think that she was at least trying to dance a little tonight, but she still hasn't made nearly enough effort compared to those who are really working hard. She's only two years older than Pamela Stephenson and yet she's got as much mobility as my 85-year old mother!

I too thought Kara was spectacular. Dress, choreography, dance. She is absolutely brilliant and the tango is really her dance. I think Artem has been a stunning choreographer throughout.

 

Matt was fabulous too - sexy even as Austin Powers, and just a naturally gorgeous mover.

 

Pamela was wonderful but I thought both Matt and Kara were every bit as good. Scott is too erratic for me. He has moments of brilliance but is patchy and irritating.

 

As for Ann....

 

 

I know who goes though having looked on DS so am happy enough this week. Promises to be a cracking semi!

I couldn't resist looking on DS after reading your post, but then I couldn't find any reference to the results, so I've decided it's a sign and I'll have to wait until tomorrow evening. Even though some people could argue that she is entertaining (not for me - I find her painful to watch), I really hope that Ann won't be in the final because I think that will devalue the competition for those celebs who have worked hard to dance their best.

What a brilliant show it was, really enjoyed it. Thought all the dancers (apart from one ) had upped their game.

 

Kara looked absolutely stunning and I'd love her dress (only if my body could be magically made to fit it) and really deserved more points. I do not understand how Pamela can get 40 (she did dance beautifully but didn't have as much content in my opinion) yet Kara didn't.

 

Loved Matt's dance although he did lose time at one point but he had me in hysterics and I thoroughly enjoyed it. He really does throw himself into the dance.

 

His and Kara's dances seemed to go so fast, I was obviously enjoying them so much. Scott's on the other hand seemed double the time for some reason. I like Scott but I didn't like his paso or the music. OH enjoyed it though.

 

Gavin really upped his game this week.

 

I can't even bear to talk about the other one, she really winds me up especially with all her comments.

 

I'm not sure I can resist looking on digital spy - I'm going to try not to.
