Strictly 2010

Recommended Posts

Having seen a snatch of Pamela and James doing the salsa last night on It Takes Two, ... I don't think we'll be disappointed.

Its looking good isn't it! I think the good thing is she seems comfortable in her own skin which helps with her confidence. Saying that though Patsy seemed to be enjoying herself and doing well in training.

Can't wait for Saturday. Callychook I hope the baby waits untill Sunday

Just watched all this week's strictly it takes 2 on iplayer and filled my boots with dancing :) I used to always work a 13 hr shift on fridays so my son is booked into nursery from 7.15am til 6pm every fri. it's the only day he goes as I cant afford to put him in for any more days, but since being on mat leave my friday has become mummy day where I do everything I love to do but cant- cross stitch embroidery, playing violent games on xbox, or going places that tots think are boring eg the Walker art gallery in liverpool, or window shopping in Chester.

Today's strictly fest was lovely. I have to say that the salsas are all looking a lot better than I expected- normally the first latin dances of those who do ballroom in episode 1 are so awful it makes me cringe, but this time I am genuinely looking forwards to some good dancing :D and a good bit of Gavin bootie shaking I don't mind admitting!!

right, time for some pasta for lunch, then i might paint the bathroom ceiling to a bit of Slayer on the cd player, or clear out one of the cupboards that held my aunt's food before it begins to really smell of rotting spuds and old cereals. either way it doesnt feel like birthing will be on the agenda this avo!

Definitely sounds as if you're 'nesting' though! How exciting. Do keep us up to date won't you, we all like being Omlet aunties and uncles :D

I loved it :)

Matt was brilliant, Scott really impressed me and Kara is very good especially if what the papers say is true and Artem has "dumped" her after a month long affair.

Peter Schilton made me cringe. gack! And I think there'sonly going to be so much of Paul Daniels that I can take. Tina is still disappointing but Goldie has improved very much. I like Ann, at least she genuinely is entertaining, rather than just cringeworthy!

Thus speaks the pregnant lady on the matter!

I thought it was fantastic  Matt, Scott, Kara and Pamela were just brilliant. I love the way Pamela had a smile on her face the whole way through. She really gave it her all. I couldn't believe it when James did that swingy throw thing when she landed on the floor  She's really game for anything.

Patsy came out with a brilliant attitude and gave it her all, she looked fantastic which I think must of helped her confidence this week. Dancing wasn't totally ok but she knew that.

I enjoyed Paul Daniel's dance, Anne's was hysterical. I thought they seemed quite mean to Michelle, I know she didn't have it all correct but they seemed harsher on her than most. Felicity, Goldie and the young corrie girl were okay but nothing special. Enjoyed Jimmy's dance too.

Peter Shilton was by far the worst (if you forget about the fact that Anne is rubbish at dancing but great entertainment). I think he has a touch of the Craig (from a series or so ago where he was the only one who thought he was a good dancer - danced with Flavia?) and hopefully he will go tonight.

Hubby and I were saying that there are so many who could win the show and really I wouldn't mind any of the top four or five at the moment. :D

There's definitely nothing to choose between the top four/five dancers at the moment, they are all excellent especially given that it's still only week two! I think we could be in for a great series this year.

I won't be sad if Peter Shilton goes this week. Widders is great entertainment and I would love her to stay for a few more weeks yet  She always looks like she's having a blast out there, which is great.

I enjoyed last night's programme but don't think much of the new format for Sunday - it was a let-down and boring........and the wrong person left :(

Totally agree - hopefully Shilton or Daniels out next. I know it's early days but I just don't feel the same buzz so far this series. I don't know if it's the new format or the gaping void left by the ousting of some fabulous dancers with great personalities. I'll stick with it as I do like the programme but fingers crossed it picks up.

I think the fact that Peter's still in is a sign of depressed husbands everywhere, or at least that's what my OH said. He said that two hours of strictly on Saturday had made him so miserable that he'd considered voting for "the England legend" Peter Shilton in order to sabbotage my fun. Cheeky little so and so. If he wastes our phone bill on phoning for rubbish dancers, his life won't be worth living - especially after saying that this yr, we're budgetting heavily so no voting at all for me either! I sat there putting in my "wish vote" for Matt and Kara without spending a penny and he was thinking about actually voting for a clown... bah!

My colleague bumped into Paul Daniels coming out of the local gym at lunchtime today. I guess that's where he and Ola could be training then.

Apparently he had a large red rose sticking out of his gym bag so we're thinking perhaps it's a prop. So look out for a small bloke with a large flower on Saturday :D At least it'll distract from his 'dancing'.

I did wonder where they were training - he lives in Wargrave,so just down the road from me.

He is an odd little man in real life - very gnome like, but the lovely Debbie Mcgee really is lovely,in a slightly china doll way

I am so cross that Goldie went - that man had a lot of potential & a real sense of rhythm.

He would have developed very nicely as the show went on :?
