Leicester_H
Hi You could email them and ask them but since you already have them, you might as well eat them - it would be a waste of egg / chickens 'effort' (whatever the source ) to throw them away. Find out before buying anymore. H
Charlottechicken
Egg? In Chewits?? That must be the best case of hidden egg I've ever heard of

Raina
I've just received an e-mail saying: I am out of the office on Monday 11th October. I will respond to you upon my return. So will let you all know when She sends me another e-mail
Lewis
I wouldn't have expected them to have eggs in either. Can guess what the answer will be though!
Egluntyne
Can guess what the answer will be though! Me too. If they are free range, they would have trumpetted it to the world.
Shirl
It just goes to show how careul you haveto be if you want to avoid all caged egg.
bluekarin
I'd not thought about it before, but it makes sense that they have egg in as they are very much like a whipped up soft meringue. I would be interested to hear what they say, but at a guess, its not going to be FR

Raina
Well i e-mailed them in October & It's Now April and i still haven't had a reply. I've e-mailed them 3 times too Looks like they're using caged eggs and don't want to say
Sam
Usually if companies use free range products they like to shout about it, so obviously if they are keeping quiet it really does suggest they are using caged eggs
LuckyChickenLover-
Do you want me to try emailing them? Obviously they're using caged eggs and they just don't want to admit it . There's no way that it would take them 6 months to reply, especially as you have sent them three emails .Maybe it's time for another campaign? It worked for New Covent Garden Food Co Quiches Maybe if we all send emails then they might get the message and at least REPLY. We all know what the answer will be but even so... . LuckyChickenLover-
I've just been on their website "No question is too silly. No request too small. We are always happy to help - including offering full information on ingredients or allegies." Well that's clearly not true . Off I go to email them . EDIT: To change my horrendous spelling Edited April 5, 2011 by Guest

LuckyChickenLover-
*Taps foot impatiently* Just out of interest, has anyone tried emailing them and not 'complaining'. It would be interesting to see if we get a quicker response . Raina, I also have two email addresses. Off I go to write another email . gongladosh
That must be the best case of hidden egg I've ever heard of Maybe they're Easter Eggs! (terrible IT-related joke)
Raina
Check your Spam. I've tried to e-mail them 3 times today using 3 different e-mail addresses and they all failed to send
LuckyChickenLover-
I wonder why that is . I checked my Spam folder and there was nothing from them, and I checked my Sent folder and it was there. What email addresses are you all sending your emails to? I sent it to chewie@leafuk.com. Maybe we would get a quicker reply if we all sent our emails to the the Nestle email address instead on the chewits one (assuming they have one) Gongladosh... that was terrible
HENthusiastic
How totally annoying of them not to even answer. I'm off to email. I shall then go into my sent box, DAILY and re-send the same email. Chewits are off my shopping list for ever!
