What vexes you?

Recommended Posts

People {you know who you are) who put things around the dishwasher, rather than in the dishwasher

Is suspect they are the same people who pile stuff up on the kitchen work top to go into the recycling, rather than make the HUGE effort of opening the back door & putting it in themselves.

OH leaving dirty clothes on bedroom floor, then going to bathroom & walking past the linen basket :x

I have a 12 year old who has just developed that habit

I once left OH dirty clothes in the corner where he'd thrown them for a week until he had no clean ones left  so he went out and brought new shirts rather than pick up his dirty washing so I binned the whole lot

wow -and you are still married? I can't do that at moment as waiting for new washing machine - am like a woman possessed and made sure everyone wears their clothes till they could walk away on their own as the launderette is not somewhere \I want to spend time. Yup the dirty clothes are a bug bare. You have my sympathy.it comes with teenagers and carries on into manhood. :wall::wall:

Teachers (I'm sorry but it's always the teachers  ) who leave used teabags in the staffroom sink and dirty dishes floating in disgusting dirty water in the washing up bowl.

Who do they think is going to do their washing up? The cleaners don't :? . Yes, the poor support staff who need clean dishes when they go for their breaks - after the teachers  .

I refuse to go into Rosie's room and just let her get on with it, I am thinking of opening a book on how long she can go without clean school uniform. She used to be sooo tidy as well.

ANH, we have a leaver of cups in scummy water here at work too. I never wash their cup up on principle.

 Do we live in the same house  I say 'Oh dear, I didn't realise that your back was bad' and when they say it isn't I ask how come they can't bend down to load their stuff into the dishwasher.

Sprinkles on the toilet seat and those that don't bother to flush

My lot do the loo roll, dishwasher and recycling thing too. Why is it that I'm the only person in a household of 4 adults and a soon to be 13 year old that can replace and put the stuff in the dishwasher and the recycle bins.

The 'kids' also seem incapable of putting their shoes into the rather large shoe cupboard we have under the stairs. We all have our own shelf.

Apparently the hallway floor is a much better shoe cupboard!

ANH - this made me  My OH provided me with a semi-solution. Keep your own dishes seperate, and use/wash them seperately. I know they are an oblivious species - but eventually they run out of clean mugs - and hey presto they can work a tap

I once decided to see just how many empty loo roll tubes would have to linger in the bathroom before someone else took the hint and threw them out................answer = nine !

They never threw mine out at all..they just accumulated, and when we reached double figures I got so cross that I threw them away myself!

Jars of anything which have been more or less s"Ooops, word censored!"ed clean except around the sides and then replaced in the fridge so that when you go to use the mustard/mayonnaise/horseradish/ etc etc although it looks like a fairly full jar there is never enough in it to complete the recipe you were in the middle of cooking  ....and breathe....

When i worked..nurse on mixed ward..colorectal/urology.

Change over week of students and doctors.......It was ....

The number of bed pans just dumped in the sluice ,for someone else to clear away or

put in the macerator or down the sluice....with no name on them so the varied tests

could not be done or amounts recorded...........Then the consultants went ballistic

when the charts weren't kept up to date..

......I think i had some of those same people at home in the house....not clearing

away after themselves...or cleaning anything at all !!!

Mister "Ooops, word censored!"ody......
