only one day till chicken day! photos added!

Recommended Posts

It's finally nearly here, we're going to get our chickens Tomorrow! The classic has arrived, we went out yesterday and bought bedding (littlemax, hope this is ok) and grit, waiting for a delivery from omlet with "first aid" stuff and a feeder stand, and the WIR is looking great. Hope to go for a walk later to get a branch or two. We're going to Durham Hens, and hope to get - a columbian blacktail, a speckledy, a black rock or a copper black, and a coral nick or a white star! Very Excited, and so are the children.

What a lovely Easter weekend you have in store! It sounds as if you have got everything you need for your chickens, and I hope you have a great time choosing them tomorrow.

Don't forget to let us know what you get - and of course photos are required!

Hi Teacake! Can't wait to hear what you get and see your pics. I love my columbian blacktail, Betty Boo - she's a real character and very sweet x Are these your first chickens (you are lucky to be able to be getting so many! OH only let me have two - but I'm not complaining since he was very anti for a long time and there is hope I will get two more next year).

and no photo yet, but there's also

Harriet - a copper black.

we love them! they didnt get out of bed this morning, and had to be encouraged out, and then they went back in and hid when they saw one of our cats! but they are getting really brave, having lots of cuddles, and getting LOTS of admiration. they are only 17 weeks old, so a while to wait for eggs, but I am in love x
