Kylie1007
What is your chickens favourite treat? My girls go mad for grapes- red ones in particular. They are so funny - the will take their own individual grape off to their own corner of the garden to eat it! They are also partial to sweetcorn

auntielizzie
I would say its a very close call between grapes and raisins - they practically peck my hands off for either of those Half a melon sends them into a frenzy and they lurrrrrrrrrrrve mealworms Tinned sweetcorn is a favourite too as well as cooked pasta

Leeloo
Dried mealworms, cat food, sunflower seeds, and soft fruit. I also bought them a bag of mixed grains, seeds, and dried fruit and vegetables that they like a lot. I'm afraid they are getting a little spoiled. I try to keep it down to one treat per day! lindafw
LIVE mealworms and what ever meal worms turn into..a beetle type thing. We have LOTS of lizards..snakes too...but its the lizards that eat the meal worms and its the surplus they get...the pupa and lavae
Lavenders_Blue
Mealworms are probably the favourite here, but they are so expensive so a very rare treat. Thankfully they also go bonkers fo plain wheat which is cheap as chips so they get a few handfuls of that most days. They do also like their greens, but they don't make the excited clucking noise like they do when I give them wheat and mealworms
Melbourne12
It's a close call between mealworms (of course), sunflower kernels, and warm porridge with sweetcorn & yoghurt. The sunflower kernels just about edge it.

Kylie1007
I gave them the left overs of my son's cereal yesterday, which I thought they would enjoy, but they turned their beaks up at it!
Mum
I gave them the left overs of my son's cereal yesterday, which I thought they would enjoy, but they turned their beaks up at it! They will do that if it is something they are not sure of. What does your son have for breakfast???? Does it have a high salt/sugar ratio?
