AJuff
I'm terribly anxious in mazes, irrationally so. Really don't lIke them. Very scared of fainting in front of people as it happened in my childhood! Cringe and feel uncomfortable about seeing toes on tights sticking out of open toe shoes! Saronne
Binoculars I quiver at the thought of looking through them... I hate the sensation of things 'whizzing into focus'. Horrid things!!! I have a similar fear of google earth; when it zooms into focus, I feel sick! Saronne
chucknette
Hi I become really anxious when I am on the London underground platform and the air starts moving because the train is coming. I get worse and worse until the train busts out of the tunnel then it all subsides all while Im standing there making out Im not bothered. If I ever do, I have to close my eyes whilst I'm zooming in and hope for the best when everything has stopped moving
Lesley
I'm 50+ and am still scared of the dark! - very dark where we live and I'm never more than a few feet away from a torch! (and I still have a night light.....and take them on holiday ) As for fish pedicures.......I didn't think I had a phobia about them at all until I went to one as a family group........they're all still doing impressions of me as I was a complete, gibbering, wreck
Sue_F
Airports freak me out, so does going to the doctors.... Not the dentist though..... My friend did a talk on phobias in school and she read out some of them like the phobia of chins and of being followed by a duck!!!! sadietoo
Slugs! Can't bear them It's one of the reasons I got chickens - stupidly I thought the chickens would eat all those enormous brown and orange slugs that rampage across my garden immediately it rains. But no, our chickens only eat little, almost invisible slugs ....they don't like the yucky big ones! You can't blame them really can you? Oh dear...I seem to have a few I'm not brilliant with heights unless I am completely enclosed..and not good where I can see water moving on both sides of me either...piers, jettys, narrow bridges etc.. Clowns. .I've never grown out of my childhood fear of these and I still find them unsettling that's why Stephen King's IT is the scariest book I have ever read Everything else I am absolutely fine with...although don't like the feel or squeak of cotton wool much either... The Dogmother
Bless. I lived and worked there for 12 years, so was pretty immune to it. Now, when we go down to meet up with friends I just get annoyed with the way that everyone walks straight at you. I have to admit that I don't drive around London with the ease that I used to - I seem to have lost my bearings

Long sleeves and long skirts are quite handy for that - although you do get strange looks when you exit the loo with your skirt up in the air

The Dogmother
5 fighter helicopters and 2 Chinooks have just flown over the house - i'm hidden under the desk. Oh wow - why do they never come this way Mind you, my neighbour firefighter was outside this morning in just boxers and a vest top, taking their new puppy for a wee-break. He's pretty wallpaper but looks nicer in his uniform.
