I have a real fear of Chinook helicopters which isn't helped by where we live (RAF flight path)

I seem to think that they are going to land and people are going to shoot at me.

I have a habit for throwing myself in the nearest hedge when i hear the horrid engine sound which

confuses the dogs.

Has anyone else got a silly fear?

Slopes & hills - I hate walking down them because I think I will fall or my trick ankle will go on me again.

Anything steep like stairs to - hate them.

My son (nearly 4) is absolutely petrified of hand dryers. It makes persuading him to use a public toilet a real struggle

Love chinnooks I have been up in one for a ride DS is RAF Tech at Odiham home of the chinnook for me it's clowns and gnomes I think there evil they give me the Hebie Jeebies ugh!!!

I can sympathise over the steep hills - mainly coming down them. I too think I may fall. I am terrified of frogs. Will be interesting when the froglets hatch..We have a stream through our land! Yikes!

I'm also scared of zombies. I am so scared of the Toyota advert that used to come on before Jonathan Ross! It showed a man driving with a zombie creaking its neck in the passenger side! Arrrrrggghhhhh!

I remember that advert that got banned - was a big thing about it on Omlet. Flippin' heck!

Escalators. I hate the things. Always think i'm somehow going to get something caught or fall. I am much better than i used to be though. Daddylonglegs also give me the creeps but i'm fine with spiders.

Stairs/steps indoors or out without handrails - makes me go all weak kneed and queasy and I just loose all sense of balance .

 

Once took a long, scary and probably unsafe boat trip to the Skellig Islands off the Irish coast and couldnt climb the loads of steps up to the monk's cells as there was no handrail . Had to sit on the botton step whilst the remainder of the tour had a wonderful time, raved about the view and generally thought how weird I was!

 

£50 well spent, obviously!

 

I also find clowns curiously sinister

Another here scared of ventriloquists dummies - would never go to see "magic " a film about an evil one and the Chucky films - even the picture gives me the eeby jeebies. Dont like faces much esp spooky ones.

Running out of petrol

 

As a child we used to go out with my uncle for day trips and he used to tease me that he did not have enough petrol and we wouldn't be able to get home, I hated it then and I still hate the fear of running out of petrol. My car never gets below a quarter and if someone gives me a lift and the petrol light comes on I am in a panic

This is more something I dread than am scared of and I had to spend a lot of today doing it. Going through old family photographs, it always brings me down. I don't know why they're very happy family snaps, hundreds of the kids smiling and playing. Now I feel wretched and the kids keep asking if I'm ok. I just said I was in a quiet mood at which DD said they should relish the peace as it doesn't often happen! Which cheered me up actually.

I sort of understand that.I get upset when looking at photos of my ED before her chronic pain started in her feet. I saw one of her doing a crab and I started crying

 

 

I get a bit freaked out about mazes (in case someone gets lost), actually getting lost on a walk, kites (in case one lands on me)

 

My ED has a weird thing about dry leaves and glasses cleaner wipes. Weird textures full stop for her
