Decided to accompany OH to London who had to do something dead boring there. After, neither of us wanted to go home, it was such a lovely spring day in London. So we ended up taking a Thames cruise boat to Greenwich and back.

At Tower bridge we saw a pontoon with the Olympic rings and more exciting, marines showing off in super cool looking black boats. A show of force but I waved at them anyway, they were men in uniform after all. They waved back which was jolly. Didn't stay long in Greenwich, bought a picnic to eat on the boat & travelled back up to Westminster in the afternoon sun. We even made friends with a nice couple who are holidaying in London.

Just a sweet day.

What a perfect way to enjoy an early Spring day My mother used to take me up the river to Greenwich almost every summer holiday and I loved it! Many years later I used to do similar jaunts up the river Ooze in York - all on my own, but a lot of fun all the same.
