Cinnamon
Have a looky at THIS Interesting, isn't it? I am pretty tempted to give one a go after that review EDIT: One is now on its way to me
LolaLayla
I will be interested to hear how you get on with it I have so many gadgets I had best not think too much about it
Cinnamon
Well,if its no good I will just have to get another cat so it can be used as a bed
Egluntyne
Works on the old haybox method of cooking by the looks of it.
Cinnamon
Indeed - heat retention. Perfect for camping & caravanning too I would think. It will be put to good use on a Saturday here, when I don't finish until 8.30....I can set it up in the morning & leave it to do its thing. The Dogmother
I just wonder where people will keep stuff like that - it must take up a lot of room. I'll stick with my Remoska or slow cooker I think, but it will be interesting to hear how you get on Sarah.
Olly
I was just thinking exactly that! It looks like a really clever idea, but it would take up space that I can ill afford; and if I left it out anywhere, the cats would make a beeline for it! I'll be really interested to hear how you get on, I have a slow cooker and I use that a lot, so this would use the same recipes.
Cinnamon
I have a nice spot for it on top of my cupboards It does look big,but I am hoping that it will be worth it!
Lavenders_Blue
What a good idea! If I didn't already have a slow cooker I would be very tempted.
jasperaliceuk
Saw that a couple of weeks ago and am sorely tempted. Do you think it is washable? Sue
chickencam
I have a slow cooker and I too think that this would end up as a cat bed.
Cinnamon
I don't have a slow cooker,so as this uses no electricity am happy to give it a go. I reckon I could easily sell it on,on eBay,if it turns out to be useless, but I suspect it will be quite good.
Purplemaniacs
DD told me about these, I have resisted so far. Chrissie
Olly
My sister has just brought me a review from the Times in similarly glowing terms, and after seeing Cinnamon's suggestion about keeping it on top of the kitchen cupboard, I'm very tempted. I hadn't picked up on the charity aspect - if you order one, they also fund a free bag for a household in Africa. That makes it even more appealing, as does the idea of taking hot stew or soup on picnics or camping - it has lots of uses. hmm ...

Cinnamon
It arrived today,in quite possibly the ugliest fabric I have ever seen Still,I am going to give it a go later - Ham & Cabbage broth for supper with the leftover Easter Ham
Olly
Must admit I wasn't very inspired by the fabrics, they are traditional African prints apparently but I have seen much nicer prints than that! I'm very keen to know how you get on with this, I am on the point of getting one. I like the idea that you can transport it easily, and also that you can use any size of pan with it rather than being limited to the size of a slow cooker. NannyOgg
Couldn't you just make one?
Cinnamon
Quick update - I hated the fabric so much that they are changing it for me to something less lurid. It went back today - they are paying for shipping out a new one. They are great to deal with - had a really lovely email from them It is as light as a feather & not nearly as big as I thought it might be! Cinnamon
.........................still waiting for my replacement bag to arrive. They have been inundated with orders. scubababe
I have a slow cooker and I too think that this would end up as a cat bed. My problem too. Tempted by the eco factor but don't have the room
Cinnamon
It is really not that big - not as huge as I thought it would be,anyhow. When it is here I will take some photos of it against something regular sized,so you can see.....mine is going to live on top of the kitchen cupboards.
